Fixes/Updates

Assessments

  1. Deleting GED or HiSET scores at the student assessment tab was deleting not only the corresponding diploma/credential record for that student, but also the Diploma/Credential record for all students in an agency who had a record on the same date. This has been corrected.

  2. The scaled score range for CASAS Life & Work-Listening has been updated to 0-999. The score ranges that populate levels have not changed, but users may now enter scaled scores 0-161 for "Level Not Defined."

Integrations

  1. The automated CASAS integration has been updated to prevent assessments with future dates from being imported to the student record. This only affects clients who are integrated with TopsPro.

Reports

  1. The "Pre and Post Assessments by Class" report has been updated to include the primary instructor name. The report is located in the Class area under Reports.

Searches

  1. The State and Local Performance Deduplicated table searches were not including students from the Agency of Duplicates after drilling down on a cell. This has been corrected. The searches are run at the SEA, and are located at Student-> Searches -> State and Local Performance (SPR) Deduplicated.

  2. The headings on the "Employment Outcomes for Followup" search have been updated to display the employment follow-up dates and the NRS reporting date for each quarter. The search is located at Student-> Searches -> Outcomes.

Staff

  1. The "Years Teaching Exp in Adult Ed" field was not displaying correctly on the staff grid or at the staff Key Info panel when 0 was entered on the staff intake page. This has been corrected.

Student

  1. Per the NRS, at least $1 must be entered for 2nd quarter follow-up even if the student does not provide earnings information during manual follow up. To accommodate the NRS requirement, the "Earnings Not Provided" checkbox field has been added to the student work history record. $1 will automatically populate in the Earnings field, and the Earnings Period field will default to Quarterly when the box is checked. Note that this affects the median earnings on Table 5.

  • The checkbox is used when the student does not or will not provide earnings information. Note that you may simply enter $1 in the Earnings field, but checking the box provides verification on why $1 is the quarterly earnings.

  • Remember that you may enter $0, but students who were employed with 0 earnings do not count on Table 5 as meeting the outcome.

Views

  1. The default View Manager field search parameter has been updated to search on "Contains" instead of "Starts With." For example, to add the field "Lifetime Hours" to a custom student view, you may search for "hours" at the Available Fields column. All student fields that contain the word "hours" will be returned.

Workshops

  1. "Overall Status” has been added as a column on the workshop enrollment grid. This column displays the overall status for each participant person type. For example, if a participant being enrolled in a workshop is both a staff and a tutor, the overall status for each person type will display, separated by commas.

New Functionality

  1. An Audit Log is now available at the More area drop-down menu. The Audit Log tracks user actions related to creating, updating, and deleting data in LACES. The default filter at the Audit Log grid is "Last 24 Hours" based on the Date/Time information on each audit record. The search "Last Week" is also available at Searches->General->Last Week. All audit log records may be displayed by removing the filters.

Audit records will be maintained for one year (365 days), which means that records from today's date to 365 days prior will be maintained.

The following user roles have access to the Audit Log.

  • Agency Director

  • Agency Full Access

  • Agency Read Only

  1. A checkbox counter has been added to the bottom right corner of grids within LACES. The counter keeps track of the total number of items the user has checked within that grid, including checked items that are located on different/multiple pages of the grid. It will display in the format of "# - ### of ### items; # checked".

      • For example, "1 - 200 of 320 items; 3 checked".
