All PoP Summary Area

  1. The column "IET/Workplace Literacy (MSG)" has been added to the default view.

Assessments

  1. The HiSET / Official Practice Test / OPT 11 has been added to the Assessment drop down list. Only clients who allow the HiSET will see the assessment.

Choice Lists

The County and Ethnicity choice lists would not load. This has been corrected. The Ethnicity choice list is only for non-students persons.

Dashboards

  1. Posttest eligibility dashboards have been updated to "honor" agency specific KPIs set at the Agency Settings/Detail tab.

  2. The dashboard "Students Enrolled - Actual vs. Target" was incorrectly including students <16 years old at intake on the column NRS Fundable Enrolled to Date. This has been corrected to omit those students.

  3. The dashboard "Measurable Skills Gain Completion by EFL" was not including Carnegie or NEDP students. This has been corrected. (This only affects clients who offer NEDP or allow Carnegie credits to populate levels.)

Data Validation Area

  1. The column "Report Exclusion Reason" on the Data Validation default view has been updated.

  • On the current FY rows on the grid at the Data Validation area, the value from the student Demographics tab/ Report Exclusion Reason field will display.

  • On the prior FY rows on the grid at the Data Validation area, the value will display from the FY summary for that fiscal year.

Hours

  1. The pair hours table has been updated to allow pair hours types that contain the word "instruct," for example, an hours type named Pair Instruction. Contact tech support if your agency needs additional pair instruction hours types added.

Groups

  1. The field "Instruction at 9th Grade Level or Above" has been added to the group intake page and the Group Data tab. The functionality of this field works the same way in groups that it does in classes. Refer to PoP Data Collection in LACES, rows Attained SSD (Outcome Measure), Enrolled PS Ed/Trng (Outcome Measure), and Employed w/n 1 year (Outcome Measure).

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  1. The KPIs that determine the minimum number of hours between NRS approved assessments has been expanded. Minimum required posttest hours for BEST Plus 2.0, TABE CLAS-E, and CASAS ABE assessments can now be indicated by level.

Reports

The following reports have been added:

Students

  1. Points for Next EFL

    • Displays the number of scaled score points required for the student to advance to the next education functioning level, based on the NRS Benchmarks. For example, a student scored 506 on a TABE 11/D Reading assessment. This scaled score places the student at ABE L3. The minimum scaled score for ABE L4 is 536, so the student needs to advance 35 points.

    • The default parameter is the current FY.

    • Only the most recent current FY assessments by Assessed Date and Subject Area will be on the report.

    • The Provisional ABE and Provisional ESL assessments that were added in Release 2020.6.0 are omitted from the report. These assessments are only intended to determine a student's entry level and are not to be used for posttesting.

Class

  1. Class Points for Next EFL

    • Displays the number of scaled score points required for a student in the class to advance to the next education functioning level, based on the NRS Benchmarks. For example, a student in the class scored 442 on a TABE CLAS-E Writing assessment. This scaled score places the student at ESL L2. The minimum scaled score for ESL L3 is 446, so the student needs to advance 4 points.

    • The default parameter is the current FY, with optional parameters for Class Start Date and Enrollment Status.

    • Only the most recent current FY assessments by Assessed Date and Subject Area will be on the report, regardless of parameters for Class Start Date and enrollment status.

    • The Provisional ABE and Provisional ESL assessments that were added in Release 2020.6.0 are omitted from the report. These assessments are only intended to determine a student's entry level and are not to be used for posttesting.

2. MSG By Class

  • Displays the MSGs for students in the class.

  • The report runs on selection, and does not require any parameters.

  • FY summaries must be up to date for the students to count correctly on the report.

Searches

  1. The Student Diagnostic Search has been updated:

  • The row "Students Not NRS Reportable has been renamed to: "Students Not NRS Participants."

  • The search logic for this row has been updated so it is based on the student FY summary and returns students who do NOT have a PoP 1 Start Date in their FY summary. Because this row is FY summary based, it is important that the students have FY summaries and the summaries are up to date.
