Student

Currently in LACES, student records that have a FY summary in a prior year cannot be deleted. In this release, the student record delete functionality has been changed.

This change allows a student record to be deleted if all prior FY summaries indicate that the student was not reportable or had no PoP data. If even ONE prior FY summary shows that the student was reportable in that year, or shows PoP data, the student cannot be deleted. The message displays:

Records for students who entered the program during the current FY and only have a current FY summary may be deleted whether the student was reportable or not.

Records for students with a prior FY summary indicating not reportable or no PoP data, who also have a current FY summary indicating that they ARE reportable may be deleted. For example, this student record may be deleted:

2019-2020 FY summary indicates PoPs and reportable student.

2018-2019 FY summary has no PoP rows and indicates that student was not reportable.

Always use caution before deleting a student record. Once a record has been deleted, it cannot be recovered.

User with permission to access the Agency Setting area may see which records were deleted, and the user who deleted the record.

1. Click the Person Profile icon at the top left of the screen.

2. Select Agency Settings.

3. Click the Delete Log tab.
