Release 2024.7.0
Per the NRS, an update was made to Table 11 as part of Release 2023.7.0 on 7/12/2024.
The rows:
Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Enrolled in Postsecondary Education or Training within one year of exit
Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Employed within one year of exit
Were combined into one row:
Attained a Secondary School Diploma/Recognized Equivalent and Employed or Enrolled in Postsecondary Education or Training within one year of exit
The row "Attained a Postsecondary Credential while enrolled or within one year of exit" was renamed to "Attained a Recognized Postsecondary Credential while enrolled or within one year of exit."
This change affects Table 11 for the 23/24 FY going forward. Table 11 for previous FYs were not changed.
NRS Table 11: Outcome Achievement for Participants in Integrated Education and Training Programs
Table 11 reports Measurable Skill Gain outcomes for participants who had at least one IETP enrollment in the reporting year. These students will count in column B in the first 5 rows of Table 11.
The exit-based Primary Indicators of Performance follow Table 5 for reporting these outcomes on rows 6-11. (The collection periods for outcomes varies by outcome, and employment outcomes have specific follow-up periods.
To be a participant, the student must have at least one Period of Participation (PoP), and be 16 years of age or older at the time of intake (note that some states have higher age requirements for admission).
A Period of Participation (PoP) begins when a student enters your program and has 12 or more instructional hours, and ends when the student exits, as demonstrated by not having additional activity 90+ days after the last activity date. It is considered a new entry if the student returns in the current program year after a gap of 90+ days since the last activity. At that time a new PoP will begin. While it is possible for a student to have up to four PoPs within a fiscal year, most students will have one or two.
A new panel was added to LACES in Release 2019.4.0 to collect Secondary or Postsecondary Transcript, Progress Toward Milestones, and Passing Technical/ Occupational Skills Exam.
PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE IETP ENROLLMENT TO COUNT ON THIS TABLE.
Either "IETP" or "IETP/Credential" can be selected for the IETP field in the enrollment record for a student to be included on Table 11. If the class the student is enrolled in can lead to a credential, select "IETP/Credential." If the class does not offer a credential, select "IETP." Please note that only students who have "IETP/Credential" selected will be included on Table 5 for the "Attained a Postsecondary Credential while enrolled or within one year of exit" outcome based on IETP enrollment.
Some clients have customized IETP options that are included on Table 11 that do not include the word "credential." If your client is customized, please reach out to your state office or LACES technical support if you're not sure which IETP options offer a credential.
Students with a Report Exclusion Reason may be included ONLY in Columns B and E on the MSG rows, but are excluded from all other rows and columns.
To add a new IETP Measurable Skill Gains record:
Open the student record.
Go to the Outcomes tab.
Click the IETP and Workplace Literacy Measurable Skill Gains panel to open.
Click the Add button.
Enter the required fields.
Save.
IETP MSG is a dependent field that populates from the selection in the IETP MSG Type field.
Records for ITEP MSGs may be added if the student:
Has an IETP enrollment in the current FY, or
Has "Workplace Literacy" selected in the Program field (this may not display on the choice list if your state or agency has requested that it be removed), or
Has "Workplace Literacy" selected in the Secondary Program field. This may be added manually to the Secondary Program choice list if your agency wishes to track Workplace Literacy students in this field. NOTE that if this is manually added, it must be entered as Workplace Literacy.
