NRS Table 11

NRS Table 11:  Outcome Achievement for Participants in Integrated Education and Training Programs

Table 11 reports Measurable Skill Gain outcomes for participants who had at least one IETP enrollment in the reporting year. These students will count in column B in the first 5 rows of Table 11.

The exit-based Primary Indicators of Performance follow Table 5 for reporting these outcomes on rows 6-11. (The collection periods for outcomes varies by outcome, and employment outcomes have specific follow-up periods.

To be a participant, the student must have at least one Period of Participation (PoP), and be 16 years of age or older at the time of intake (note that some states have higher age requirements for admission).

A Period of Participation (PoP) begins when a student enters your program and has 12 or more instructional hours, and ends when the student exits, as demonstrated by not having additional activity 90+ days after the last activity date. It is considered a new entry if the student returns in the current program year after a gap of 90+ days since the last activity. At that time a new PoP will begin. While it is possible for a student to have up to four PoPs within a fiscal year, most students will have one or two.

A new panel was added to LACES in Release 2019.4.0 to collect Secondary or Postsecondary Transcript, Progress Toward Milestones, and Passing Technical/ Occupational Skills Exam.

PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE IETP ENROLLMENT TO COUNT ON THIS TABLE.

Either "IETP" or "IETP/Credential" can be selected for the IETP field in the enrollment record for a student to be included on Table 11.  If the class the student is enrolled in can lead to a credential, select "IETP/Credential."  If the class does not offer a credential, select "IETP."  Please note that only students who have "IETP/Credential" selected will be included on Table 5 for the "Attained a Postsecondary Credential while enrolled or within one year of exit" outcome based on IETP enrollment.

*Please note that some states have customized the IETP list and may have options available that are included on Table 11 even though the IETP option selected does not include the word "Credential."  If your state has customized this list, please reach out to your state office or LACES technical support if you're not sure which options offer Credentials.

To add a new IETP Measurable Skill Gains record:

Rules for adding an IETP MSG record:

1. The student MUST have at least one IETP enrollment in the fiscal year with the enrollment date on or before the date of the record.  If the student does not have an IETP enrollment on or before the date of the record, an error message will display on the record window:

Could not save IETP Measurable Skill Gain: *Student does not have an IETP enrollment on or before this Date.

2. To count the MSG in the first PoP, the MSG record date must be after or on the PoP 1 start date and before the start date of the next PoP.

MSG Choice Lists

IETP MSG Type

Only the IETP MSG Types listed below will count on Table 11.

IETP MSG

LACES includes generic text in the choices for the IETP MSG field on the list.  These may be updated or new items added at Choice Lists.   However, you may edit the IETP MSG placeholder text or enter IETP MSGs that are related to the valid types, unless the state requests that LACES only uses state-provided options. We recommend that you do not modify the IETP MSG options until or unless the state makes a determination for whether there will be a state-provided list.
