4/18/17 and 4/19/17

Today's agenda:

• • Today was a day of review from unit 5.1. For starters we worked on ordinal numbers 1st-10th (page 258). We practiced talking about our families and which kid is which using primero, segundo, tercero, cuarto, and quinto. I used my family as an introduction, and then we practiced the same skill using the Gonzalez and Torres families. I am attaching the both the Gonzalez and Torres family practices.

  • We reviewed the verbs SER (37) and ESTAR (115), we reviewed when we use each verb (253), and we reviewed their conjugation. We played tic tac toe to practice conjugation and meaning. Students took a graded fill in the blank quiz on Ser vs Estar.

  • Lastly, we worked on the presentacion de vocabulario 5.1. I read the lectura in Spanish, students working in pairs verbally translated it into English, and finally students answered the accompanying true/false statements that were attached to the reading.
