today's agenda:
Today students did a pass along from 2.1 that works on -ar verb conjugation. Students need to know the meaning and the mechanics of all the cards. There will be a follow up quiz Tuesday/Wednesday of this week to ensure understanding
We reviewed the vocabulary for classroom items. We practiced asking, 'Que es esto" which means What is this? Students then responded es un or una depending on what their partner was pointing at. For example: Student A pointed at a pencil and said, "que es esto"? his/her partner responded by saying es un lapiz. Each student pointed and responded for 2 minutes. Once we practiced the classroom vocabulary for a few minutes, we went right into tic tac toe with the verb Necesitar-To need-in the tic tac toe boxes I had listed different classroom items, and depending on the pronoun being used the students had to say, "Hector necesita un lapiz", or Nosotros necesitamos,una calculadora. Students took pictures of the tic tac toe boards to continue practicing at home.
