Today's agenda:

  • We watched all 3 scenes from the 3.2 telehistorias (pages 167, 172, and 177). Once we had seen all three scenes we worked on 3.2 Actividad 16 worksheet. This worksheet is attached to my website. After we worked on Actividad 16 worksheet, we looked at, and practiced in pairs, talking our way through 3.2 actividad 4 by following the model. This worksheet is attached to my website.

  • Once we finished 3.2 actividad 4, we worked on identifying all the characters in the "La familia de Tomas Garcia" story. Students have been advised to make flashcards for each character. If it was me making the card it would look like this. The card with Tomas would say, "Me llamo Tomas. Yo soy el hijo de Marcos, el nieto de Juan Carlos, el hermano de Susana, el primo de Gloria, el sobrino de Felipe. It doesn't need to be in this order, but students must know all the connections amongst "la familia de Tomas".

  • Students worked on the 20 interrogatives. Students must be able to answer each of the questions on the spot. For example if I ask, Como se llama tu mama? They need to be able to respond quickly, Mi madre se llama Jackie. Students have been advised to make flash cards for all 20 questions. Questions on one side, answers on the other.

    • Students received a culture worksheet last week. They should be working to finish the paper, and to get to know the answers on that worksheet. The worksheet is attached to the website.

  • For this week, students will take 2 multiple choice quizzes-La familia de Tomas, and the 3.2 quiz. Also, there will be oral assessments on the 20 interrogatives and the Tomas Garcia family characters. Students should be diligently preparing to do well on both multiple choice quizzes and the 2 oral quizzes.
