Today's agenda:

  • Students received a clothing packet. If you were absent, please ask me for the packet. We worked on completing the "ropa" matching worksheet. Students worked in pairs to become more familiear with the clothing vocabulary.

    • Students watched the 4.1 telehistoria-episodio 1 (page 197). Students also listened to the Avancemos 4.1 presentacion de vocabulario (page 197). After listening to the presentacion de vocabulario, students were asked to answer 10 questions from the 4.1 worksheet-attached to my website. Students learned how to ask how much something cost and learned how answer how much something cost. Students learned that to ask the cost of something you either ask, "cuanto cuesta or cuanto cuestan...an item. For example:

Cuanto cuesta la camisa?

Cuanto cuestan las camisas?

The answer is either, la camisa cuesta veinticinco dolares or las camisas cuestan veinticinco depending if there is one shirt or multiple shirts.

  • The students watched the 4.1 telehistoria scene 1 (in the book on page 197). We watched it multiple times in Spanish, in English and without subtitles. Once we had finished seeing the 4.1 scene 1 telehistoria students were instructed to do the attached worksheet.

All three of the attached worksheets were in one packet. Students worked to finish the worksheets and then turned in the 4.1 presentacion de vocabulario packet.
