1/17 and 1/18

Today's agenda:

  • students worked on 3.2-5 a day #2-comparitives (attached to the website). This was turned in for class credit.

  • students once again watched scenes 1, 2, and 3 from 3.2 of the telehistorias. Students will be taking quiz next week on the 3 scenes. The 3 scenes can be read on pages 167, 172, and 177.

  • We reviewed the story of La familia de Tomas Garcia. We have been discussing the vocabulary of the family and making connections of how family members are related. Students who are absent need to get the story from me and continue to work at home to understand the story and the family connections.

    • students worked on understanding how to ask 2 questions; how old are you? When is your birthday? and answering both questions in Spanish;

Cuantos anos tienes? Yo tengo X anos.

Cuando es tu compleanos? Mi cumpleanos es el "date" de "month". As an example I would respond-mi cumpleanos es el 23 de marzo.

  • Students participated in a classroom walkaround asking each other both questions in Spanish, answering both questions in Spanish. Once they finished this activity the students shared the information they had gathered with their class partner. This activity allowed the students to know how to do the last worksheet-3.2-activity 4 worksheet (attached), which was turned in for class credit.
