Today's agenda:
Students reviewed the e to ie, o to ue, and e to i boot verbs. Then they played tic tac toe using the following sentences.
preferir estudiar espanol mas que historia
pedir un refresco en el restaurante
dormir en la clase de matematicas
querer vivir en Hawaii en el futuro
servir la comida y las bebidas a los clientes
almorzar en un restaurante italiano
Students will take a follow up quiz on Thursday/Friday of this week on the boot verbs. Students must know how to conjugate the e to ie, o to ue, and e to i boot verbs, as well as know the meaning of all the verbs so that they can write logical and correctly written sentences.
students reviewed the Spanish to English meaning of the vocabulary of furniture and items in the house. This worksheet is attached to the website.
Students reread the worksheet-La casa del senor Trotter. We read this in Spanish and in English. We then went over the cierto/falso worksheet that the students did Monday.
Students then played battleship which showcases the rooms and places of the house. Students should be studying the vocabulary to the rooms and places in the house and also the items in the house, as they will take a true false quiz this Thursday/Friday based on the house. Students would do well to go over La casa de Trotter a couple of times, also the cierto falso worksheet, also the Spanish to English and English to Spanish vocabulary about la casa.
Students then watched all 3 scenes from the unit 5.1 telehistorias in the Avancemos 1 textbook. We watched them with no subtitles and with the Spanish subtitles. By the end of 5.1 students will be taking a multiple choice comprehension quiz, so it is important that students listen and process the videos as we are watching them.
