10/4/16 and 10/5/16

Today's agenda:

• • This week we are learning all about describing ourselves and describing others. The students received three papers to help them learn adjectives and how to describe people. We watched and listened to the Telehistoria escena 1 on page 59 in the Avancemos 1 book. We answered some basic questions and then as a class we verbally translated the escena 1 into English.

  • Next I shared a paper with the students that talks about who I am and who I am not. This paper is attached to the website. As I read along, I was checking for comprehension.

  • Upon completion of reading the paper to the class and checking for understanding, we played tic tac toe from the dry erase board. We'll continue on Wednesday with a little more information.

  • Students are working on two worksheets. 1 is the vocabulary for unit 1 lesson 2, the other is a paper that helps students to understand if they should use el, la, los, or las (page 61 for grammar explanation), and helps students to learn if the adjective ends in -o, -a, -os, -as, or es.

  • We will be going over both these papers on Thursday/Friday
