10/29/15 and 10/30/15

Today and tomorrow's agenda:

• • Students reviewed the verb IR, which can be studied on page 120 of the Avancemos 1 textbook. After that they played tic tac toe with pre-written prompts on the board. This activity allowed them to practice the same function they studied Tuesday and Wednesday. For that information look at Tuesday/Wednesday webpage post.

  • Students also practiced their vocabulary in pairs, Spanish to English and then English to Spanish.

  • Students then did exercise 13 on page 121. Students had to write the correct form of the verb IR in the blanks 1-11, and once that was done they had to translate the dialogue from Spanish to English. This assignment was turned in for credit.

  • Students then did some work with Halloween Vocabulary. This was bonus vocabulary and will not be required to learn. Students did do a Halloween scramble, and then a Halloween story translation. This work was just for fun and to present some basic Halloween vocabulary to students before the Halloween weekend.
