2024 YANKEES-STONEWALL SCHOLOARSHIP
WHO: Highschool Seniors
WHAT: This is a one-time scholarship of $10,000, which will be awarded to a student from each borough to celebrate the achievements of graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement and impactful support of the LGBTQ community. Please note the following eligibility criteria for students:
A graduating senior with at least a 2.5 GPA;
Planning to attend a two-year or four-year college;
Exhibited a commitment to equality, leadership in the area of LGTBQ support, and made significant contributions to the LGTBQ community.
The DOE, in partnership with the Yankees and The Stonewall Inn, will review all 2024 applications and name this year’s recipients in the spring. Finalists will be selected for an interview with representatives from the DOE and the New York Yankees. Winners will be notified in May and invited to participate in an on-field ceremony during the Yankees Pride Night in June.

ASCEND EDUCATIONAL FUND
WHO: Graduating senior at a high school in the five boroughs of New York City
WHAT: Scholarship Description
Ascend Educational Fund awards scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 to immigrant students and children of immigrants who are graduating from a New York City high school to attend public or private colleges and universities, regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be born outside the United States or have two parents born outside the United States
Must be a graduating senior at a high school in the five boroughs of New York City
Must enroll full-time at an accredited public or private college or university

Selection Criteria and Process
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on qualities traditionally valued and demonstrated by the immigrant community: hard work, resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one’s community. A committee will review applications and select a group of finalists for interviews.

WHO:Students are eligible to apply for a Mas Family Scholarship if they were born in Cuba or are of direct Cuban descent.
WHAT: The Yale Women in Economics Scholarship Program is a unique opportunity for young women of color who will graduate in the class of 2025) who want to become financially literate and excel in their academic and professional pursuits. Past scholars have earned $45M+ in scholarships and grants to attend the higher education institutions of their dreams.

MAS FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPS - Deadline : 01/15/24
WHO: Students are eligible to apply for a Mas Family Scholarship if they were born in Cuba or are of direct Cuban descent.
WHAT: In 1996, the Mas family established a scholarship fund whose purpose is to advance the education of talented young Cuban and Cuban-American men and women, furthering their commitment to promoting the benefits and opportunities that can be garnered through hard work in a free society. Students interested in applying must be Cuban or of direct Cuban descent, have a 3.5 GPA or higher, demonstrate leadership and community involvement, and have financial need.

SCHOLARSHIP PLUS
WHO:Applicants must be current high school seniors who attend public, parochial or private schools in New York City, and have demonstrated:
Strong academic achievement (84.5% or higher G.P.A.)
Significant financial need (family income less than $52,000)
Faced great adversity
Willingness to engage with Scholarship Plus community in occasional events, workshops and semester check-ins
WHAT: The Scholarship Plus award is a college scholarship and community for New York City students. Scholarship Plus offers such students a competitive four-year scholarship PLUS individualized, wraparound support. We celebrate your successes, and help you navigate difficult moments.
The scholarship, up to $8,000 a year, may be used to pay tuition, room and board, fees, and other educational expenses. Each scholarship will be renewable annually for up to four years of study as long as the student maintains a good academic record and makes standard progress toward a degree.

WHAT: All Star Code creates economic opportunity by developing a new generation of boys and young men of color with an entrepreneurial mindset who have the tools they need to succeed in a technological world. Dare Greatly, Celebrate Failure, and Tell Your Story, are used in our programs to give young men the skills, networks, and mindsets they need to succeed through technology.

WHAT: The Manhattan District Attorney’s High School Internship Program is a rigorous five-week internship that provides students with an insider’s view of the criminal justice system. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in workshops and discussions, participate in a mock trial program, develop professionalism in an office setting, and more. Interns will be paid minimum wage.

WHAT: Every year, hundreds of community-minded high schoolers are accepted into the Student Leaders program. They get first-hand experience in serving their communities through a paid eight-week internship with nonprofits like Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Habitat for Humanity.They also get to see how nonprofits, governments and businesses collaborate to meet local needs by participating in the national Student Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. Many of the students use their new-found skills to create more change and improve more lives, with inspiring stories of enthusiasm and commitment.

WHAT: Technology Concept Groups International (TCGi) Foundation is dedicated to connecting black women and girls to meaningful opportunities in technology and computing. Through our work, we aim to diversify the next generation of technology leaders. The TCGi Foundation Scholarship Fund facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders to increase the visibility and representation of black women pursuing degrees in computing.TCGI will award $2,500 per semester to a Black woman who will be attending a two or four-year institution. If enrolled in a 4-year institution the scholarship can amount to $10,000. Applicants must be a resident of eligible states or Washington, D.C. Please note; in order to receive their award, scholarship winners must be able to attend the Inaugural John Fitzpatrick Memorial Golf Classic in person at the Commonwealth National Golf Club in Philadelphia, PA in June.
