WHAT: Justin Brannan’s campaign for New York City Comptroller is accepting applications for talented and motivated interns. This high-stakes, high-profile race will be contested in every neighborhood of NYC. Interns on this campaign will have a unique opportunity to work with seasoned political operatives, gaining the skills to make their mark on local politics - and beyond. Previous campaign experience is not required; what is required is a serious work ethic, willingness to learn, and a passion for our city. Justin is the no-nonsense Finance Chair of the City Council, where he has represented the Bay Ridge area since 2017. He is running for Comptroller so he can fight to make our city more affordable for working families. He’s also toured extensively as a hardcore punk guitarist - not your average politician!

WHEN: As an intern you would work 5-10 hours a week on the front lines of voter contact as we win votes and collect signatures to get Justin on the ballot. You can make up your hours on any combination of weekends and weekdays.

ARTSLIFE, RECESS I & II INTENSIVE PROGRAM AND TEEN COUNCIL @ THE MUSEUM OF ART AND DESIGN (PAID)
WHO: Rising sophomores and juniors
WHAT: Artslife is a paid summer internship program for rising sophomores and juniors enrolled in New York City public and charter high schools that combines art and design with leadership training, museum studies, and community engagement. Participants are introduced to careers in all sectors of the museum: Curatorial, Education, Development, Communications and Marketing, Visitor Services, Security, and Registrar. The first week of Artslife is dedicated to team bonding and introducing the interns to the Museum. During the remaining five weeks, participants work on collaborative projects with Museum staff, local designers, and arts professionals who act as mentors. Artslife interns enjoy firsthand experience and the broadest possible exposure to ongoing museum activities, both public facing and behind the scenes.
Artslife Interns: Learn about careers in the arts. Build career readiness. Create artwork with local and visiting artists in the Artist Studios. Create a podcast series based on a topic of the interns' choosing. Develop and lead peer-to-peer tours. Build and strengthen presentation, communication, and public speaking skills. Visit other cultural institutions in New York City. Earn $16 an hour and receive an unlimited MetroCard for the duration of the internship.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP FOR UNDOCUMENTED STUDENTS (PAID)
WHO: High School Students 16+
WHAT: The Beyond Rising Internship program focuses on workforce development, connecting UNDOCUMENTED youth aged 16-20 with employment opportunities within post-secondary campuses such as Fordham University and Lehman College. Participation in the summer internship requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Interns will be assigned to various colleges, universities and organizations in the NYC area. Compensation for their contributions will be offered by the Oyate Group in the form of a $500 weekly stipend, provided through pre-paid debit cards.

WHEN: Beyond Rising's summer program is set to commence on Monday July 7th and will continue until Friday August 8th. The internship runs 5 weeks total.

WHO: High school Students
WHAT: The Summer Institute is a free, three-week intensive performance workshop for NYC public middle and high school students (12-17 years old). Founded in 1996 by Kate Valk and directed by Ariana Smart Truman, the Institute encourages teenagers to discover new dimensions of themselves through joyful exploration of aspects of performance. Teaching artists, all working professionals, lead sessions in acting, movement, writing, voice training, video techniques and more. A summer at the Institute builds confidence, independence, and creativity. Stepping outside their habitual selves, participants develop personal agency by taking risks in performance, and engaging in deep and revelatory play.
WHERE: 33 Wooster Street
WHEN: Monday through Thursday, for five hours each day, for one three-week session. It culminates in three public performances in the final weekend. Lunch is provided.

WHAT: The program is an exciting opportunity to hone your skills, build a peer network, report stories and share opinions: on the human rights dimensions of sports in your community, and in connection with the FIFA World Cup 2026.
As a Youth Media Forward reporter, you will receive:
Training on reporting the human rights dimensions of sport and ensuring responsible reporting practices, across print, broadcast and online media.
Dimensions may include (but not be limited to): access and diversity, safety in sport, the impacts of major sporting events and the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders; and the working conditions for people involved in or affected by major events.
Opportunities to submit stories for publication, through partnerships with media outlets.
Interactive sessions with media industry leaders.
