WHO: All NYC high school students 16 years of age or older
WHAT: The Biorocket Program is a spring after-school hands-on science program and summer research internship experience for New York City public high school students age 16 and up. This program gives students an opportunity to learn the latest advances in genetic engineering and biology laboratory skills. By participating in the program, teens will have access to scientific mentors, behind-the-scenes lab tours and field trips, and improv training for science communication skills at Genspace, a community biology lab in Brooklyn, NY. Participants will: Spend 7 weeks from July-August working on a team research project with scientist mentors, get career guidance, tour other research labs and biotech companies, have the opportunity to enroll in SYEP during the summer part of our program, and join a city-wide network of other teen research internships. Students will end a $2,000 stipend

WHAT: At the Seeds of Fortune Economics Scholarship Program at Yale University, Selected students will have access to:
10-month Program in college Admission & Financing (Monthly Workshops) to build college applications including essay support, interview prep, resume building, applying for scholarships
Capstone Research Project Mentored by Yale Women in Economics students and Virtual Yale Professor Lectures
$2000 Scholarship for Cost of Attendance to (4) Day Yale residential overnight & Admission visit
- Receive mentoring by Yale Women in Economics students & Yale Professor lectures (virtual)
- Connect and network with other students interested in economics (Yale college network)
- Connect to top colleges and universities for admission to HBCU, private & public universities

WHAT: The Manhattan District Attorney’s High School Internship Program is a rigorous five-week internship that provides students with an insider’s view of the criminal justice system. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in workshops and discussions, participate in a mock trial program, develop professionalism in an office setting, and more. Interns will be paid minimum wage.

WHAT: The 92NY Arts Fellows program is a transformative opportunity designed for high school students who demonstrate talent in and passion for music, dance, and visual arts. This comprehensive program spans four years, during which students will receive expert instruction at 92NY’s prestigious Gilda and Henry Block School of the Arts. Students accepted into the Arts Fellows program will benefit from fully subsidized classes in their chosen artistic discipline, along with invaluable one-on-one mentorship opportunities.
The Art Fellows program represents 92NY’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of artistic talent, making high-quality arts education accessible, and ensuring that the legacy of creativity continues to flourish in our community.In fall 2024, the Arts Fellows program is accepting applications from students in Grades 9 and 10. To be considered for the program, applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor and share a portfolio of their work. Please see the application for more details.
