WHAT: Teen CTeen Council is a job development program for NYC teens interested in the media arts who want a behind-the-scenes look at how a media museum works. As a part of the Teen Digital Media Innovators program, Teen Council members curate and program public events for youth, including film festivals, media workshops, and more. This paid opportunity includes mentorship from museum media educators, filmmakers, actors, and museum programmers. MoMI’s Teen Council was created in 2015 as a workforce development initiative for youth that increases the presence of teen voices in the Museum’s programming and education offerings.ouncil is a job development program for NYC teens interested in the media arts who want a behind-the-scenes look at how a media museum works. WHAT: The Narrative Lab is a free filmmaking workshop open to beginner young filmmakers who have distinguished themselves artistically and want to continue to hone their skills as filmmakers.
The Narrative Lab is a 7-month program that will equip participants with skills in screenwriting, producing, editing, cinematography, and sound. During this program, participants will produce short narrative films that are written, directed, produced, and edited by you!

L.O.V.E. MENTORING PROGRAM (UNPAID) Deadline: 10/19/24
L.O.V.E. MENTORING PROGRAM (UNPAID)
WHO: High School students
WHAT: The L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program is delivered during the academic year in Health Studies or aligned classes in partner public schools across NYC.
L.O.V.E. is implemented as a class for girls only with a specific curriculum that covers social emotional content and addresses health standards. During the academic year, mentors and mentees participate in weekly, hour-long sessions guided by a curriculum that consists of four core components: mental health, reproductive health, college and career readiness.
Through a series of structured mentoring and group activities that concentrate on personal empowerment, boosting academic performance, and college and career access, L.O.V.E. serves as a platform where young women can actually believe that they are capable of achieving their dreams.

THE MET MUSEUM INTERNSHIP (PAID)
WHO: High School Student in grades 10th-11th
WHAT: The Met High School Internship Program offers paid opportunities for students who are two to three years from graduating high school (in grade 10 and 11) or obtaining their High School Equivalency, and who, on the application deadline date, either reside in or attend a high school or home school in New York City. This program allows students to connect with art, museums, and creative professionals as they develop professional skills, network, and gain work experience.
