WHO: High school Students in grades 10–12
WHAT: The Cooper Union's Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture is offering a five-week summer intensive program designed to familiarize high school students with architectural thinking and design while developing a portfolio of completed projects. The program, which takes places online, includes lectures, workshops, and tutorials by Cooper faculty. Students will receive instruction in various tools and media, including digital drawing and model-making techniques, analysis and representation, computer modeling and fabrication.
Students interested in this program will need to complete an application. Note that this program is evaluating and accepting applicants on a competitive rolling basis as space allows—so applying as early as possible is encouraged. Also, please note that students accepted into this program are required to have access to a PC or a Macintosh computer for the duration of the program.
Cost: $2,980, with a $40 application fee. Scholarships/aid not available.

WHO: High school Students in grades 10–12
WHAT: Business Leadership Academy is a week-long, residential, business-focused program hosted by Mercy College. Rising high school seniors get a taste of business careers from professors who have worked at some of the top companies in the world. Participants will have the opportunity to visit Fortune 500 Companies, explore careers, and take part in team-building exercises, such as a Shark Tank-themed activity.
Tuition and housing are provided for free, however, there is a $595 fee to cover food and activities.

WHO: High school Students in grades 10–12
WHAT: This six-session program from the American Folk Art Museum takes place over the month of July and is aimed at high schoolers with an interest in careers in art and museums. Participants discuss pieces in the museum’s collection and create their own art inspired by the museum’s collection. Students also meet with museum staff, get a closer look at its operation, and visit other art institutions.
All New York City high schoolers are eligible to apply, however, preference is given to those who live or attend school in Queens and are graduating seniors.

WEB DESIGN BOOTCAMP (PAID)
WHO: Rising high school juniors and seniors currently attending a New York City (all boroughs)
WHAT: The TECH360 Summer Bootcamp is an intensive, 3-week program where students learn how to code through web design and web development. Throughout the program students will learn industry-aligned technical and professional skills, gaining knowledge of key coding languages and frameworks including HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
During the final week of the program, students will put their knowledge to the test and work in teams to create and present a final website. Top teams from all program cohorts will compete during the end-of-summer Demo Day Competition. Most sessions will be hosted via Zoom and students who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 stipend.

WHO: High school Students (Rising 10th-12th graders and recent high school graduates).
WHAT: Explore how women across the spectrum of race, class, and sexuality exercised power and effected change. Be a digital changemaker and learn how to use HTML and CSS to design, code, and build your own websites to share powerful stories about women in history.

Three of our amazing Digital Design and Animation Pathway students were honored by The School Art League at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday, May 17th for their excellence in Art & Design. We are so proud of all the outstanding accomplishments they’ve made this year.
UAG Students visit Lehman college to finish off the school year. Glad to say they had an amazing time.
