WHAT: Study art and design with Parsons' world-class faculty while experiencing the creative inspiration of New York City in our academically rigorous and artistically stimulating three-week, three-credit intensive program. Our fully immersive courses are tailored to high-schoolers preparing to apply for college and feature thought-provoking project-based learning, art and design field trips, guest speakers from industry, and portfolio reviews. WHO: Highschool Students ages 14 and older
WHAT: The APEC Field Biology Internship (FBI) is geared towards high school Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who are looking to experience the adventure of participating in field research. If you are a Freshman, you are welcome to apply regardless, but upper grades are prioritized. Interns will learn how to study the biodiversity of various ecosystems, as well as how to identify some of the local birds, invertebrates, and plants of NYC. All materials and research equipment are provided by APEC each week; we may utilize tools such as field guides, microscopes, seining nets, chest waders, and environmental testing equipment.We are interested in hiring individuals who have a passion for automation, who want to grow as learners, and gain experience in the designing and prototyping field.
Our goal is to have people who are collaborative, independent, hardworking, and determined to help our miniature company to prosper.

WHO: Highschool Students ages 14 and older
WHAT: Is a beginner-level course that is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of the principles of photography. The course covers both technical aspects of photography, such as understanding the film camera and how to adjust its settings, as well as artistic elements of composition, such as framing, lighting, and color.
The course is set to begin on Saturday, March 16th. This start date provides ample time for students to prepare and plan their schedules accordingly.
During the course, students will learn how to use their camera settings to achieve the desired effect in their photographs. They will also learn about the different types of lenses, filters, and accessories available to enhance their photography. Additionally, the course will cover the basics of post-processing, such as cropping and adjusting color balance.
Overall, "Introduction to Photography" is a comprehensive course that provides a solid foundation for beginners who are interested in learning about photography. By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge and skills to take better photographs and explore their creativity in a new way.

WHAT: We pair talented, low-income high-school students with world-class PhD mentors to work 1-on-1 on an independent research project. At the end of the 12-week program, they learn about the cutting edge of their field and develop an independent research paper.Our goal with the Foundation is to build the next generation of diverse researchers. We believe that the world’s best researchers are out there - and they are often not the people who have the resources to pay for it. We want to make sure that world-class research opportunities are not hidden in Ivory towers but shared with the world’s best students, irrespective of their backgrounds.

Three of our amazing Digital Design and Animation Pathway students were honored by The School Art League at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday, May 17th for their excellence in Art & Design. We are so proud of all the outstanding accomplishments they’ve made this year.
