WHAT: Engages youth with professional artists in the creation of public art, including murals and mosaics. Through this creative process, CITYarts empowers, educates, and connects youth and children locally and around the world to become active participants in realizing their potential and transforming communities.

WHEN: Interns design their own schedule with CITYarts’ staff. Average of 15-20 hours a week.

THE NEW YORK ACADEMY OF SCIENCES (UNPAID) Deadline: 12/18/23
WHO: 9th - 12th Grade students
WHAT: A passionate community of problem solvers made up of talented students, STEM experts, and industry leaders from around the world. Junior Academy members are dedicated to designing innovative solutions to society’s greatest challenges! The Junior Academy is part of the New York Academy of Sciences' education initiative that introduces exceptional students to an online community where they gain access to best-in-class STEM resources and work together to solve real-world problems. STEM professionals mentor student teams during 8-10 week virtual innovation challenges, with multiple challenges a year for participants to choose from.

WHAT: By applying to our free program, you're taking a crucial step towards securing your future through higher education. At SEO Scholars, our mission is simple: to ensure that motivated and talented public high school students in New York City, San Francisco, and North Carolina get to and through America’s most competitive colleges and universities.We combine rigorous academic instruction with individualized guidance and support. Our SEO Scholars attend classes three Saturday a month, at least once a week after school, and for five weeks during the summer. In addition to dedicated program team and expert instructors, SEO Scholars benefit from a community of like-minded peers who share their vision for success.

Our students designing a robotic system that will facilitate communication in tunnels and operations personnel in the tunnels to address issues such as stalled vehicles, identify stoppage and enhance driver communications.
