WHAT: What is Computer Science for All?
The Computer Science for All (CS4All) initiative works to ensure that schools expand computer science (CS) exposure, offer access to real life CS experiences, and create an inclusive community in computer science for all students. Through the work of the CS4All initiative, students will be better prepared to use computer science during their K-12 experience and after graduation. In keeping with Chancellor Banks’ bold vision for career-connected learning as key to activating student passion and purpose and reimagining the educational experience for NYC Public Schools students, CS4All helps students build core skills as 21st century learners, including computational thinking.
What is the Pathfinders Internship Program?
CS4All’s Pathfinders Internship Program provides New York City high school students with their first workplace experience in computer science. The 4-month internship runs throughout the Spring and Summer of 2025, totaling 70 hours. Students will complete 60 hours of paid, hands-on industry work experience with host sites plus an additional 10 hours of mandatory work readiness and career preparation training (unpaid).
How much will I be paid and how often?
Students are paid bi-weekly at minimum wage ( $16.50/hr for duration of this internship).
WHERE: Your worksite placements will be based on your application, experience, interests, and interview. We will attempt to place you at a worksite that we see as most fitting for you. We partner with both remote and in-person worksites. Additionally, the days and times that you work will be determined by where you are placed.
WHEN: The Spring 2025 cohort will run from March 2025 to June 2025 for a total of 70 hours.

STANFORD WOMEN IN MEDICINE (PAID) Deadline: 12/12/24
STANFORD WOMEN IN MEDICINE (UNPAID)
WHO: All NYC high school student
WHAT: Stanford Pre-Medical virtual mentorship program. Get paired with a current Stanford undergraduate woman mentor. Connect with other high school studnets around the world interested in medicine. Attend workshps on college admission and pre-med planning. Listen to world health leaders from Stanford Medical School, and more! Will receive a certificate of completion if you attend 90 % of events/meetings.

WHAT: The SCA Summer Internship Program (SIP) recruits talented NYC public high school students for an in-person six-week paid internship with various SCA departments and SCA business partners throughout New York City. SIP is designed to expose students to careers in various industries and provides interns with a diverse experience along with career mentoring and guidance from industry professionals.

TELLURIDE ASSOCIATION SUMMER SEMINAR (TASS) (UNPAID)
WHO: TASS applications are open to all high school sophomores and juniors
WHAT: Thrive Scholars provides high-achieving students of color from economically under-resourced communities the opportunities they need to thrive at top colleges and in meaningful careers. They are currently accepting applications for three program offerings; Thrive's 6-year program, Thrive Academy, and the OnRamp program.
OnRamp is a pre-college program for 10th-grade Black/Generational African-American males from across the country. If you are interested in applying to OnRamp, please click here.
Our new Thrive Academies Program is a two-year college preparation program for 11th graders, currently offered to students based in Los Angeles and New York City. Scholars will participate in two six-week commuter Thrive Academy summer sessions hosted on a local college campus in the summers of 2024 and 2025. Apply Here
Our 6-Year Program is a hybrid college and career success program for 11th graders from across the country designed to support Scholars on their journey from high school into high-trajectory careers. During their first two summers, Scholars will participate in 6-week residential Summer Academy sessions at Amherst College and The University of Chicago.
