WHO: sophomore or juniors who attend a NYC school
WHAT: The 2024 program consists of a three-day externship at an architecture office followed by a culminating design workshop at the Center for Architecture. The program will take place during the public school mid-winter break February 20–23, from 10am–3pm daily. Students accepted into the program will spend Tuesday through Thursday at a local architecture firm gaining valuable, first-hand experience with the work of practicing architects, then have a chance to test out their own design ideas during a hands-on workshop and concluding event at the Center for Architecture on Friday, February 23, 2024. Eligible students must be in their sophomore or junior year of high school in New York City.

WHO: New York City high school 9th - 12th Grade Students
WHAT: The Youth Insights (YI) Artists program brings New York City teens together with contemporary artists, providing opportunities to work collaboratively, discuss art critically, think creatively, and make artwork inspired by this exchange. This spring we will offer one class of YI Artists on Wednesdays and a different class on Thursdays. Participants will meet once a week on either Wednesday or Thursday afternoons from 4-6:30 PM, February through May.

WHO: Any 11th or 12th grader
WHAT: Earn 80 hours of paid internship experiences in the IT or Media Design sector at various organizations. This is an amazing opportunity for you to gain meaningful connections, earn money, add experiences to your resume, and pick up on new skills. ***You will be paid at the rate of $15/hour, every 2 weeks***

WHAT: Creative Art Works’ paid Character Design Internship has returned this year and is ready to get you on track to explore different illustration styles, design principles, visual and written storytelling, and more. Session 1 is dedicated to beginners that haven’t taken the Character Design Internship, and will meet twice a week for seven weeks. You will learn how to conceptualize a character, background, visual narrative, digitization, and ultimately gain an understanding of working in a real-world setting with teamwork, deadlines, and group presentations. You will be eligible to earn up to $800!

Session 2 is open to both new or returning interns with a focus on digital, and will meet twice a week for seven weeks. You will learn how to conceptualize a character, background, visual narrative, digitization, and ultimately gain an understanding of working in a real-world setting with teamwork, deadlines, and group presentations.
