FELLOWSHIP FOR THE FUTURE OF JOURNALISM (PAID)
WHO: High School Students completing your 10th grade year of high school in good academic standing.
WHAT: Fellows will attend classes on a set schedule and follow a learning arc to create a strong foundation in journalism. You will produce your own pieces that will be published on thenationfund.org, in newsletters and on thenation.com. You will have the support of a teacher and a mentor. The time commitment is estimated to be ten hours per month (between class time and homework).
Fellows Will Receive:
Fellows will receive a stipend of $150/month.
WHERE: Meetings will be held via video conference, cameras on.
WHEN: The Fellowship for the Future of Journalism will run from approximately April 2025 – December 2026. The program length may be adjusted to reflect progress with the curriculum. Exact dates to be determined.

WHAT: Are you a high school student with a passion for science exploration and an interest in gaining research and teaching experience? Apply to be a Junior Scientist with BioBus!
Internship Description: BioBus, Inc. works towards a future in which all people experience the excitement of scientific discovery and have equal opportunity to pursue science careers. We cultivate this vision by creating immersive laboratory environments, such as the BioBus and BioBase, in which scientists join students for hands-on scientific exploration. BioBus, Inc. opens doors to science for minority, female, and low-income students in New York City, giving pre K - grade 12 students the chance to experience the excitement of discovery, to be mentored by research scientists, and to conduct their own science projects. BioBus, Inc. is pleased to announce that we are looking for interns to join our team.
WHERE: BioBase Harlem at Columbia University at 3227 Broadway at 129th street.
WHEN: Summer: For 6 weeks: July - August, 2025 from Monday - Friday, 10 am - 5pm and
Term time: Sept 2025 - June 2026 from 1-2 days/week from 4:00 - 6:30 pm

WHO: High school students
WHAT: The Urban Arts Spring Break Game Design Lab is a FREE 3-day camp for NYC high school students.
Lunch and materials will be provided, as well as & 2-way Metrocards for students who don't have OMNY cards.
At the lab, you will:
learn about game design theory (what makes a game fun), come up with your own game ideas
remix a 2D platformer game with your own art, music, and characters
get hands-on with industry game development tools, including Unity3D
No prior experience required!

WHO: High school students from 10-12th grade
WHAT: The Manhattan District Attorney’s High School Internship Program is a rigorous five-week internship that provides students with an insider’s view of the criminal justice system. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in workshops and discussions, participate in a mock trial program, develop professionalism in an office setting, and more. Interns will be paid minimum wage.
