YOUTH MEDIA PROGRAM WITH FIFA WORLD CUP (PAID)
WHO: High schoolers aged 15-17 based in Guadalajara, Toronto, New York New Jersey, or Los Angeles
WHAT: The program is an exciting opportunity to hone your skills, build a peer network, report stories and share opinions: on the human rights dimensions of sports in your community, and in connection with the FIFA World Cup 2026.
As a Youth Media Forward reporter, you will receive:
Training on reporting the human rights dimensions of sport and ensuring responsible reporting practices, across print, broadcast and online media.
Dimensions may include (but not be limited to): access and diversity, safety in sport, the impacts of major sporting events and the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders; and the working conditions for people involved in or affected by major events.
Opportunities to submit stories for publication, through partnerships with media outlets.
Interactive sessions with media industry leaders.

NYRR’S FREE RUN FOR THE FUTURE PROGRAM FOR YOUNG WOMEN (UNPAID)
WHO: Young women in Highschool who are in 10th - 12th grade
WHAT: Run for the Future is a FREE six-week program that introduces young women in grades 11 and 12, who do not self-identify as runners or actively participate in sports, to the sport of running. With support from NYRR’s program staff, participants are provided with running techniques, goal setting, and lessons in self-care and wellness that introduce a holistic approach to achieving their fitness goals. Participants are also provided with a uniform and fitness kit to support their training during the season. As alumnae of the program, they will continue their self-care and fitness journey with their new teammates as well as ongoing experiences provided by NYRR.
WHERE: Participants will meet at the NYRR Office located in Midtown Manhattan before heading to Central Park for practice.
WHEN: The summer training season runs from June 29 to August 8 and meets three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) for two-hour practices in Central Park from
Session #1: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Or Session #2: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

EMMA BOWEN FOUNDATION SUMMER INTERNSHIP (PAID)
WHO: High school Seniors
WHAT: EBF’s mission is to prepare students of color (Asian, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Multi-Racial) for careers in the media, entertainment and technology industries. Undergraduate students (including Class of 2024 spring graduates) and high school seniors are eligible to apply. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must be enrolled in a 4-year accredited college or university. This includes students who will transfer to a four-year accredited college or university in Spring 2024 or Fall 2024. (High school seniors must provide a college acceptance letter if selected for the program.) For the internship, you must be able to commit to a summer internship that will last at minimum 8 continuous weeks and which could be longer as required by the company’s internship duration. The internship is full-time and students work from 35-40 hours per week as determined by the partner company. (Note: Internships generally start in May or June. The internship start and end dates are determined by the partner company.) Additionally, you must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status in the U.S., and must be 18 years of age prior to the start of the internship.
