Nextverse was a semi-private Miiverse clone made by SMF9.
It was available in English, Spanish, and French. The clone was part of a bigger project known as the "Next U Project" (also known as the Nii U Project), which includes Nextshop, which is similar to the Homebrew eShop alternative Freeshop, and NextTVii, a service that will allow users to watch things for free.

Nextverse was a rehost of Indigo made in Golang under itisadomain.net that was released as a French language clone on August 13, 2020, with various communities for discussion, art, and various games. This version of Nextverse shut down several days later. According to Sosig, Nextverse was initially a private Miiverse clone, until he forced SMF9 to make it public.
Another version of Nextverse was released on August 25 at around 1:30 PM PST under the same link. This instance was an English language version, though Spanish and French versions of the site were intended using the links es.itisadomain.net and fr.itisadomain.net respectively.
SMF9 was in charge of this instance of the clone, and he also has a team of developers assisting him in the projects. These include RGeek (responsible for the Homebrew work on the Wii U and 3DS as well as Wii U file editing), JérémKO (assisting in work involving the Wii U and the 3DS), Posi (responsible for server-side and client-side activity), and PouleBleue (creating bots in Python and JavaScript). In addition to this team, SMF9 also got the help of Jo to set up the site.
Nextverse had only one community, its General Discussion Community. However, for a brief period on August 27, more communities were made, including a Serious Discussion Community, an Announcement Community, and a community known as "DaKux's Realm".

On August 27 at around 3:00 PM PST, following several shutdowns, SMF9 announced that the site would be on hiatus on a separate link.

The day after this announcement, the Nextverse Discord server was raided by Sosig, with categories named "LETMIIVERSEDIE" with channels named "endnextverse" being mass produced and filled with posts mentioning everyone that were later deleted (the notifications would still be present). In response to the raid, SMF9 linked to a Nextverse "rescue server" that was created three days prior. However, the effects of the raid on the main server was undone, which led to the rescue server being abandoned.
Nextverse was re-released on August 30, 2020, with the site once again only having a General Discussion Community. SMF9, with the help of Jo, implemented invite codes to the site when signing up, which could only be obtained by asking one of the developers for one. According to SMF9, this was done to make the Miiverse clone private (and thus more secure), though not as private as banama.club.

On August 31, Nextverse was shut down indefinitely. Multiple reasons can be given for the shutdown; according to Sosig, he, Mintphin, and Arian "wanted to kill it to make fun of [SMF9]'s foolish actions". When asked about it, one of the site's owners stated that Nextverse shut down due to multiple raids, and because SMF9 was threated to shut it down or get doxxed. On the Discord server, SMF9 stated that the Miiverse clone is "definitely out of the project", implying that he does not intend to bring back Nextverse in the future, but the other parts of the Next U Project will still be worked on. The server was then changed to focus on the project rather than Nextverse.
In early September of 2020, the Discord server was suddenly deleted. Whether or not the Next U Project is still being worked on is unknown.
On December 9, 2021, Nextverse was brought back under the domain anusthesecond.renetdo.ml. This rendition of Nextverse had a moving logo. On December 11, 2021, Nextverse was shut down once again, and the domain was then used for a recovered database of the Indigo rehost kokomo-paradise.gq.
