Le Miiverse Resource

Le Miiverse Resource (often shortened to LMR) was a Wikia-based wiki created by Miiverse user Stefan, under le-miiverse-resource.fandom.com. The wiki was also used as a forum for Miiverse users. It had over 1200 articles before it shut down.

History

LMR was created on May 19, 2014 after Stefan discussed the concept of a Miiverse wiki with another Miiverse user, Hatty. Around that time, it was mostly a small wiki that was made up of the friends of Stefan and Hatty.

Soon, many Miiverse users heard about the site and joined, causing Le Miiverse Resource to become the most popular Miiverse wiki. It would reach 1,000 articles on November 4, 2014. This popularity would become a problem for the wiki, as it had loose rules and some people started creating biased and hateful pages of Miiverse users.

On January 15, 2015 at 5:50 PM, Le Miiverse Resource shut down due to the hate pages. Many LMR users were sad that it shut down and were left wondering what to do. Stefan created Le Miiverse Resource 2, under le-miiverse-resource-2.fandom.com, to replace the original.

Eventually, users and staff of the original LMR set out to delete every hate page they could find on the wiki. It took 2 weeks to delete the hundreds of hate pages that filled the site. Le Miiverse Resource was essentially revived, and users abandoned LMR2 to go back to the original.

On November 7, 2019 at 7:00 PM, 2 years after Miiverse shut down, Le Miiverse Resource shut down again. Most of the pages have been archived.

Another LMR-related wikia known as The NEW Le Miiverse Resource Wikia, under the-new-le-miiverse-resource.fandom.com, was also created. It has since been taken down.

Additionally, a "ripoff" of LMR, known as "Another LMR Ripoff Wiki", under another-lmr-ripoff.fandom.com, was created on February 8, 2015. It has also been taken down.

Miiversepedia

Miiversepedia is a Wikia-based wiki created by Miiverse user Technickal on December 10, 2014, under miiversepedia.fandom.com. Compared to Le Miiverse Resource, Miiversepedia intends to be a more serious Miiverse wiki, and focuses more on Miiverse and its features than the users. Miiversepedia's articles are usually more formal than LMR's. The wiki currently has over 200 articles and 7000 edits.
