New Miiverse

New Miiverse (titled New Miiverse (olv2) on Miiversepedia, originally known as Open Source Miiverse) was a Miiverse clone that was planned by former Miiverse hacker Talon to be made from scratch using Python. Its current development status is unknown. The website talonsmartnewmiiverse.xyz served as Talon's website as well as an advertisement for the clone.

On December 17, 2017, Talon created an article on Miiversepedia describing the clone. The article describes some of the planned features of New Miiverse, including support for image and gif posting, being able to switch between the three interfaces of Miiverse (browser, Wii U, and 3DS), a "moderation system never-before-seen in any social network" that was made "to make bans fair", and "many extra features which haven't been announced yet." Talon lists himself and some of his friends as moderators for New Miiverse.

The article states that a Miiverse clone known as "New Miiverse" was made around the time of the Miiverse redesign. This may refer to a forum created by the Miiverse user Brenden in 2015.
