In late July of 2022, a Miiverse clone based off Cedar code was released, simply titled "Miiverse", under miiverse.lol. It was created by heyimtai (or tywd), and was "intended to be as close to [the] original Miiverse as possible". Heyimtai was inspired by Giga Gamby's Miiverse videos, and aimed to bring back the feel of those videos, by encouraging old school Miiverse trolling and bringing back memorable accounts. She had issues with the repo at first, and contacted Seth for help; the issues were caused by the PHP version in use.
Numerous screenshots of the clone were posted on the Miiverse Clonapedia Discord server. The link was initially private, only being sent to certain people through direct messages, though the heyimtai intended to publicize the clone at some point. On September 1, 2022, Braden posted the link to the site, miiverse.lol, on the Miiverse Clonapedia Discord server.
On January 26, 2023, miiverse.lol was featured in an article titled "Nintendo's "Miiverse" Has Returned for 2023" on the news website The Sterling Report, making it the first Miiverse clone since Xboxverse to be featured in a news article. The article discussed Miiverse's shutdown and details about miiverse.lol.

As of July 26, 2023, miiverse.lol shut down due to its domain expiring. According to heyimtai, renewing the site would be expensive, costing around $100 to do so. heyimtai stated that she may get a new domain at some point, if she got bored and wanted a "nostalgia hit", but also stated it was unlikely due to the site's lack of activity and lack of crowdfunding for the site's expenses.
