Archiverse is a website that displays archived Miiverse posts and allows for the searching of archived Miiverse user profiles and communities. There have been two iterations of Archiverse: the original iteration was released by Drastic Actions in 2018 under archiverse.guide, and ran until its discontinuation in 2024, while the current iteration was released by SuperFX in 2024 under archiverse.app.

The original Archiverse was an open-source website created by Drastic Actions with the help of the Archive Team under archiverse.guide, and was released on January 3, 2018. It displayed posts made by Miiverse users which were gathered and put on the Wayback Machine before Miiverse shut down. The site was intended to display these posts with a better navigation than the Wayback Machine's snapshots. Archiverse used approximately 17 terabytes worth of data from Miiverse. More information on the site can be found here.
Indigo had a feature that let users import their Miiverse posts from Archiverse.
Drastic Actions's message on the archiverse.guide page.
In March of 2024, Archiverse suddenly shut down with no apparent reason. Later that month, Drastic Actions would publish a statement that he is still trying to determine the exact reason for Archiverse's shutdown, and also announced that one of the underlying components of Archiverse would lose support in 2025. He stated that he would need to do a massive rework to Archiverse to keep it running, which he claimed he did not have the time to do. Drastic Actions concluded by saying that he may attempt to get Archiverse back online at some point.

The current version of Archiverse was made by SuperFX and first went up under archiverse.app on June 24, 2024, though it was officially announced to the public on June 30, 2024. According to the site's FAQ, SuperFX asked Drastic Actions if he could use the Archiverse name and domain, which Drastic Actions agreed to. archiverse.guide was thus made to redirect to this version of Archiverse.Â
Like the original Archiverse, users can be searched based on NNIDs, though this version also allows communities to be searched for based on their names rather than their IDs. In addition, this version allows communities to be searched by date and time, displaying the posts made on that community during that time frame. This rendition of Archiverse also allowed posts to be searched for based on text queries, though this feature was removed on July 3, 2024 due to being computationally expensive and slowing the site down. There have been plans to reimplement this feature in the future as well as expand on the search feature to allow text searches for replies, as well as in communities and user profiles, though these features would require a separate database. There are also plans to add ads to the site in the future to help pay for site expenses.
On October 1, 2024, Archiverse became an official service of Pretendo Network, and its URL was changed to archiverse.pretendo.network. A progress update was written by Jon, Pretendo's lead developer, covering this decision. SuperFX and Archiverse's designer Luna became new members of the Pretendo Network team. There are plans to integrate Archiverse into the 3DS and Wii U versions of the Miiverse app, as well as implement it in games that used Miiverse.
