Grape

Grape was a Miiverse clone created by Arian. It was his first Miiverse clone, preceding Closedverse, and was the first modern (post-Xboxverse) Miiverse clone to be released to the public. It was written in PHP.

History

Grape was developed by Arian to rival Openverse. It was launched to the public under the domain portal-d1.grp.ariankordi.net, with earliest evidence of its existence dating to March 18, 2017. The website had two forms: one replicating Miiverse's Wii U interface, and one replicating Miiverse's browser interface prior to the 2015 redesign. Most of the users on Grape were invited from Banama Club. The site was very buggy.

Grape was eventually discontinued due to the lack of activity and the popularity that Openverse gained, and Arian made the site redirect to ariankordi.net/grape_public_death. 

Grape would be rehosted several times. According to Miiversepedia, Arian rehosted Grape as assmysuck.000webhostapp.com, and Eric rehosted the site as grape.rf.gd. Arian was also said to have rehosted Grape as miiverse.closed.pizza as a throwback.

Grape has since been shut down entirely.

Rehosts

An unofficial rehost of Grape was attempted on May 20, 2021, though it did not work. The domains of the site included grapesu.webs.nf, which served as a portal, and gtor.ar.nf, which used to be a blog and would have served as an API. As of May 23, 2021, this rehost has shut down.

Pear

A rehost of Grape known as "Pear" was released by Rix on August 22, 2021 under mineweb.42web.io. It was shut down on February 8, 2022. A successor for Pear is in development, and Rix has created a form allowing former Pear users to sign up for this successor. This successor was planned to be Silver Club, but Silver Club ended up being rebuilt as a Galaxy Plaza-based website, while the original idea of Silver Club became Oldverse.

portal-olv.latteu.net

On April 1, 2023, the user David Joaq released a rehost of Pear under portal-olv.latteu.net. It was created following an agreement with Rixy to use Pear. It was suspended on April 5, 2023.

miiverse.rf.gd

In April of 2023, the user Kawai released a rehost of Pear under miiverse.rf.gd. Like portal-olv.latteu.net, it was suspended on April 5, 2023. There was initially suspicion that Rixy was responsible for the suspension of these clones, but Rix denied having any involvement in the suspensions.

miiversebutworse.rf.gd

On March 19, 2023, a rehost of Pear under miiversebutworse.rf.gd was created by Braden. It had multiple color themes, including olive (light green), grape (purple), blueberry (blue), cherry (red), and orange (orange). It has since been shut down.

portal-joaq.rf.gd

portal-joaq.rf.gd was a rehost of Pear made by the user David j in May of 2023. It had no communities. It has since been shut down.

Omeyverse

Omeyverse is a rehost of Grape made by the user Omey. It was initially released under omeyverse.ddns.net on February 10, 2024, though posts from Omey show the site was online since February 6. The following day, the site was changed to be a rehost of Ultima. On February 18, 2024, Omey migrated Omeyverse to overse.terrorkiller.com. This iteration of Omeyverse would eventually shut down.

In addition, Omey would also develop a 3DS Miiverse clone known as OVerse, posting development screenshots to the Miiverse Clonapedia Discord server.

A second iteration of Omeyverse, once again being a rehost of Grape, was released on March 17, 2024 under omeyverse.com.
