Charlotte

Charlotte is a website developer and former Miiverse clone user and administrator, as well as the co-creator of both Cedar and Nova. Charlotte will be referred to by her current name in this article, although she was not known by this name for much of her presence on Miiverse clones.

History

Miiverse Days

Charlotte was known as woodman on Miiverse. Many users knew her as either Eric, which was Charlotte's real name prior to transitioning, or Jod, her online nickname. She was known for yeahbombing and posting on the New Super Luigi U community. She also had a YouTube channel known as jodornotjod.

Openverse and Cedar

Charlotte was invited to join Openverse by her then-boyfriend PF2M. She is also credited for conceptualizing Cedar, though her actual involvement on Cedar is debated; sources such as Closedverse Dramatica and Miiversepedia claim that Charlotte did not do very much besides hosting a short-lived domain for the site.

Early Closedverse

Charlotte would later join Closedverse the day of its release. Charlotte would not post much on Closedverse, though she would occasionally post about Cedar being the better clone. She also made a video playing one of Dominic's scratch games.

This would change, however, when on November 25, 2017, Charlotte began spamming porn on the Anything Goes Community, supposedly to prove a point to PF2M. This prompted PF2M to delete her account. An argument over the account deletion arose between the two, resulting in them breaking up.

Charlotte would later return on the same day under the username "yeah", and became a lot more active on the community, leading to her gaining a considerable following. Charlotte was the main user behind the "optimal comedy" proposal in which unfunny posts were deleted and unfunny users were banned. On one occasion, Charlotte made a post about how Motu Patlu jokes were unfunny, which had a lasting effect on the userbase, as they posted them far less frequently afterwards. 

Many users disliked Charlotte for being an arguably strict moderator who seemed to delete posts for trivial reasons. Charlotte was also infamous for responding to criticism by replying "ok" (a series of YouTube videos named after it were made by her). Nevertheless, Charlotte was still a popular user among the Closedverse userbase.

Late 2017-Mid 2018 Closedverse

Around November of 2017, there was drama relating to a phrase encouraging to "nut on" an underaged user. This escalated when Tutikaz posted an image of said user's Mii with what appeared to be semen on it. Tutikaz got deleted, and Charlotte posted on a Snapchat group that she cut ties with Tutikaz.

While Charlotte became less strict after the "optimal comedy" days, she was still an infamous admin who was notorious for deleting posts and banning users for arguably petty reasons. Regardless, Charlotte would have a considerable following, with some users drawing fanart of her that she occasionally used for profile pictures. During this time period, she dated several users, including Nathaniel and Lale Toryo.

Charlotte became the target of humiliation due to her questionable posts and behavior. According to Seth, Charlotte messaged a picture of her penis to another user.  She was also targeted for posts she made on Google+ implying that she had a diaper fetish. An image of Charlotte's face lead people to make fun of her for her "ramen hair".

In February of 2018, following the accusation of her sending a picture of her penis, Charlotte claimed she was making a web page dedicated to "exposing" Gnarly and Tutikaz, the former of which gave information and images about Charlotte on Closedverse Dramatica. Whether or not this web page was actually created is unknown.

Several users were also able to find personal information about Charlotte, leading to Charlotte getting "pizza-bombed" (ordering a pizza delivery to a person's address without their knowledge, which they would be forced to pay for).

Charlotte was known to have serious mental health issues, such as depression. On Closedverse's Serious Discussion Community, she would talk about her depression and other subjects such as the medication she was taking. Charlotte also posted an image of herself inside a psychiatric ward with a wristband that had her former name on it.

In mid 2018, Charlotte became one of the developers for Nova, an upcoming Miiverse clone. Seth felt that Charlotte was not doing enough for the site, and was worried that her reputation would drive users away from it. Charlotte and Ben would frequently feud in the Anything Goes Community.

Indigo and Controversies

Some time before the release of Indigo, Charlotte came out as a transgender girl and went by the name "Mochi". This became a subject of mockery for users such as Dick Dale. Gnarly would make several Epic Sauce Fortnite Death Punch songs about Charlotte, including "Eric Will Never Be A Girl" and "Fuck You Mochi". 

Charlotte was one of the earliest users to join Indigo, but was not a part of the Indigo Team due to feeling betrayed by Ben. She mostly posted memes and shitposts, such as the circulating "Arabic Seth" memes and various images of the word "ok". One day, Charlotte announced that she would be attending a local Smash Bros tournament, where she later got three-stocked according to Gnarly. Charlotte also announced development of an art-sharing website known as Pocket, though the current status of this site is unknown. During this time period, Charlotte was dating another user on the site, which some Indigo users saw questionable due to the four year age gap between the two.

From day one, Charlotte would get into conflict with others on Indigo, namely with users such as Tutikaz and Organic700. She would post about how said users should not be allowed to post their "transphobic views", and would post multiple Discord screenshots of Organic700. Charlotte also posted in the Serious Discussion Community, usually making pro-transgender posts and pro-LGBT posts in general. As an admin, Charlotte was still notorious for deleting comments, and would eventually lose administrative powers.

On December 1, 2018, Charlotte made a post talking about how she ran multiple private Discord servers for "NSFW degeneracy" such as lolicon, shotacon, and cub images. She also talked about having a porn collection of over 500 of said images. She then stated that she was "PROUD to be this way" because it gave her attention. This post received a lot of comments questioning and showing disgust for Charlotte's behavior.

Shortly after, the user Henry made his well-known call-out thread detailing incriminating information about Charlotte, using the posts above as sources for her questionable behavior. Henry would also post images of Discord screenshots involving Charlotte, which include suggestive interactions between her and an underaged user and comments Charlotte made on group chats. A particular screenshot showed that Charlotte convinced said underaged user to vape. Midway through the thread, Henry made a comment where he would refer to Charlotte as a “he” for the duration of the thread if the comment reached a yeah threshold. However, Aphistemi (an Indigo admin) convinced Henry that doing so would show disrespect towards trans people. The thread was later deleted due to a conflict involving those involved with the call-out.

Charlotte soon got banned from Indigo. She moved to the more inactive Closedverse, where she would occasionally post and yeah comments. She was absent from Oasis after Indigo shut down. On one occasion, several users began using an image of Charlotte's deceased father as their profile pictures in order to mock her.

After Clones

On April 13, 2019, former Closedverse user JMike made a post on KiwiFarms's "Obscure Laughing Stocks" thread talking about Charlotte (who is referred to as Jod), describing her diaper posts and pedophilic behavior. He also said that an anonymous tip about Charlotte was sent to the FBI, though she has not been arrested.

Following the shutdown of Closedverse, Charlotte would be mostly be active on Twitter, and was apparently popular, with hundreds of followers. She frequently changed her username as a form of rebranding.

Sometime in late 2019, former clone user Dylan made a fake "MAP" (minor-attracted person) account on Twitter and messaged Charlotte (who had the handle @daijoubou_ruki) with it, asking her about her "age of attraction". Charlotte, unaware that the person was Dylan, said to him that she was "usually" attracted to children around 9-13 years old. Dylan posted a screenshot of the messages on his main account. Shortly after the tweet was made, Charlotte (who had the handle @yukionna413) blocked Dylan and various other former clone users. It should be noted that whether or not the user he messaged was actually Charlotte or simply an impersonator is disputed.

On October 27, 2019, former clone user OmegaOnyx (now known as Nessie) tweeted the link to a Twitlonger detailing information about Charlotte (who at the time used the handle @charloaf). The Twitlonger talked about Nessie's relationship with Charlotte, detailing Nessie's harassment and abuse from Charlotte and her friends. Nessie provided links to various Twitter threads and Discord screenshots as evidence.

On July 3, 2020, Russian Boss made a tweet telling people to block and report Charlotte, with links to the evidence of their behavior. In the replies, Dapy uploaded a Google Drive folder with images relating to Charlotte, including screenshots from Closedverse and Indigo.
