Range: 5' per level of the caster
Area of Effect: 1 target, plus one per three full levels of the caster.
Duration: 2 melee rounds, plus one melee round per level of the caster.
Saving Throw: Will.
Description:
This spell causes the target(s) who fail a Will save to take 1D4 damage per level of the caster
per melee round from their spinal column violently attempting to rip itself from their body.
This also causes the target to be at a penalty of a cumulative negative one per action to any
attack, defense and double that to perform any skill, spell or psionic ability. If the target
is reduced to maximum negative hit points during the duration, his/her spine violently rips
from their body and can be telekineticly directed by the caster to attack any enemies within
range. The spine attacks as if it was the caster with no bonus from weapon proficiency. It
inflicts 1d6 damage, plus 1D6 more for every three full levels of the caster. It does however
get a plus one to hit for every three full levels of the caster.
Critical Success:
Doubles duration, range and damage inflicted. Spine bonus to hit targets is doubled.
Critical Fumble:
The Sorcerer is affected by the spell instead for double duration, range and damage. If the
duration has not expired and the caster does, his/her own spine will continue to fight with
double any applicable damage and bonuses to hit, targeting allies first, then any other living
or animate thing within range of the Sorcerer's corpse.
