Reclaimer (Stellar Vindicator)
Description:
The Reclaimer character class is part fighter & archaologist, the Reclaimer starts her/his career seeking to reclaim the secrets of previous civilizations of the Thirteen Tribes of "Humans" of Carcosa. They start by joining a Restorative Order (Creation of Crusssdaddy on his Doomed World of Carcosa Blog) This class tends to lean strongly in the Lawful Affiliation direction. While not necessarily a hatred for, they tend to avoid Sorcery, Great Old Ones and their kind, such as Shub Spawns. A character could easily have prejudice against Sorcerers, Half and Non-Humans, but it is not required, as sometimes cooperation with Chaotic entities is required to bring Order. Eventually this class evolves into the "Stellar Vindicator" at 9th level, for the character has learned enough secrets of the Elder Gods and become attuned to the consciousnesses of alien intelligences that served the Elder Gods and "speak" on their behalf. The Stellar Vindicator may be of the illusion such entities have "Humanity's" best interests at heart or realize that they are at best, better than having the influence of the Great Old Ones corrupting everything. At this level of power this class becomes a comparable nemesis of the Hyadian Knight.
Restorative Orders: (Creation of Crusssdaddy on his Doomed World of Carcosa Blog) These groups promote Order and seek knowledge of lost civilizations of the Thirteen Tribes of Men to bring about a new age of Men united to drive back the Chaos of the Great Old Ones and their kind. They also attempt to learn what they can from Space Aliens and their technologies. Aside from Reclaimers, Artificers tend to find acceptance within Restorative Orders if they tend towards the betterment of the Thirteen Tribes of Men. The Restorative Orders may be one of the least Xenophobic groups on the planet, at least where other types of Carcosan Humans are concerned.
Order of Stellar Vindicators: This powerful order of Space Knights who gain their powers via Alien Patron "Saints" representing the Elder Gods tend to recruits on this world from high ranking members of the Restorative Orders. They often find themselves at odds with Hyadian Knights.
