Description:

This ritual devised by the ancient Sorcerer Hali, for which the Lake is named. When performed

properly, this ritual will minimize the effects of any casting corruption that is inflicted

upon the sorcerer for one day, plus an additional day for every three full levels of the caster.

The Sorcerer must sacrifice twelve members of his/her own race/gender. Such victims must be

If this ritual is performed next to Lake Hali, the difficulty drops by five and casting time

is divided in half. If miscast near Lake Hali, the casting corruption is halved, though there

is a 75%, minus 5% per level of the caster, that a minion of the Unspeakable may arrive.

Critical Success:

For the duration, which is also doubled, the caster will not suffer ANY effects of casting

corruption, unless the spell/ritual performed is a critical fumble, in which treat the casting

corruptions as standard. There is also a 5% per level of the caster chance that the effects

of any Critical Fumble on a spell/ritual during duration is negated.

Critical Fumble:

For the duration ALL spells/rituals will inflict double the casting corruption if miscast and

even spells/rituals performed properly will inflict the normal casting corruptin for a miscast.

There is also a 75% chance (Minus 5% per level of the caster) that the spells/rituals for the

duration (which is also doubled) will result in the effects of a Critical Fumble, even if cast

properly. During this time you will also have a visible chaotic aura that make you very obvious

as a Sorcerer.
