Half & Half Men:
NOTE: These are the half & half men mentioned in Jeff Rient's "What Went Wrong" document for Carcosa, just modified for my setting.
Due to the experimentations of a Mad Scientist, Sorcerous rituals or a Shub-Niggurath fertility blessing the half & half carcosan exists, when it should not exist. This is because the Serpent Men, who created the men of Carcosa, had made them to not be inter-compatible for breeding. As they were ritual components for the Serpent Men Sorcery, they did not want their components polluted, which could lead to ritual failure at the least and catastrophic results in the worst case. This however did not protect their creations from interbreeding with Mythos creatures, such as Ghouls and Deep Ones or creatures related to primates that the Serpent Men used to create the men of Carcosa. (Voormis & White Apes for example.)
In most cases your character will be half one color & half another, split right down the middle, like the 'Chiron' race from the original 'Star Trek' series.
Due to the unusual blending of biology, your blood color, resistances & vulnerabilities will randomly be determined between the two races. In the case of potions & foods, you are never sure what will kill you or have some strange effect on your biology.
