Description:
Abydaxyls, otherwise known as sentient albino penginoids, are either the direct result of Elder Thing experimentation or are a side effect of these creature's ancestors dwelling in the bio experimentation labs of Elder Thing ruins. They appear as just under man sized albino penguin-like creatures. Their heads look like a cross between a penguin & a Dimorphodon, except where the eye sockets should be are dark indentations with a spider web-like fractal pattern. This acts like advanced sonar & night vision, much like that of the Gaunt Men. The wing/flippers of these creatures have evolved into three digets, thumb & two finger equivalents, allowing tool manipulation. This race is often encountered in the Thaggasoth Peaks & Frozen Waste or migrating between those locations.
1) Mystical Sonar Vision/Hearing:
This ability allows the Abydaxyl to see & hear without visible eyes or ears. It is some weird mystical version of 'Dark Vision' & 'Sonar Vision', combined with ability to see/hear sound waves. Strange enough they also can see in color with this vision as well. They can see though most forms of simple invisibility. They are effectively motion trackers within 30' radius. As such they cannot be surprised by physical creatures.

2) Excellent Swimmers & Breath Holding:
Abydaxyls can swim at 5x their move rate (based on encumbrance) & can hold their breath for CON minutes. In water, treat any DEX based skill as being at +2. They also receive a +2 to initiative & Reflex saves while in water.

3) Cold Doesn't Kill Unless Shattered:
Cold damage does not do hit point damage, but immobilizes them instead. For every 10 points of cold damage they are hit with, they will be at -2 to move & to hit as well as taking a point of fatigue. If at zero or less in both move & fatigue, make a save vs Fortitude. If failed, they are considered frozen solid & are considered in hybernation. They can be shattered, taking double damage from crushing attacks in this vulnerable state.
