Overseer () Character Class:
Description:
Overseers manifest a variation of the psychic fields of the world in such a way that their words can be considered
a form of mind control and to a lesser extent a psychic attack upon others. As such commands are merely carried
upon the psychic winds, any who merely have resistances agains psychic attacks will save at half (rounding down)
against "The Word" of the Overseer. Mind Control defenses and standard Will checks are done at normal.
"The Word" may be some ancient power of a lost Monastary of Monks or as ancient as the Yithian Algarithms.
Overseers are not the only ones to have learned to master this weird bastardization of the psychic field.
As such powers are delivered upon via hijacking of the psychic field, completely alien creatures of may also be
affected, however the difficulty level increases by one for such inhuman minds. Only creatures impervious to mind
control attacks can ignore "The Word" and other abilities of the Overseer. While lacking the combat skills of the
Warrior or the level of devestation that can be unleashed by Ascendant Psychics, Sorcerers and Cultists, it is not
uncommon to find the Overseer commanding great armies, castles and villages. Their dominance can not be ignored.
Please note that due to the nature of these abilities, any power that negates psychic attacks & powers will only
be half as effective. When in doubt, increase the difficulty of affecting this abilities by one level as they do
not directly use psionics, but ride the ambient psychic energies like a harmonic.

Crippling Commandment:
By Second Level you can present forth a command that cripples the will of those who hear and understand your
words. They will tremble before your words which have become infused by the wyrd of the psychic field itself,
thrusting your commands upon their psyche and bending them to your will. This effects targets who are of less
level or HD as your character who can comprehend your words. For every three full levels of your Overseer, the
target receives a minus one penalty to their saving throw. Those who fail a Will save (with appropriate modifiers)
will be stunned for one melee and must comply within the realms of their ability, be the task not suicidal or to
harm those they care about, for ten minutes per level of the Overseer. This takes an action for simple commands
and a successful influence roll of Tough Difficulty (15+).

Sense Quality Stock:
Starting at Second Level, be it loyal soldiers, faithful servant, slaves or livestock, you have not only the eye to
identify the qualities but the flaws as well. Any check to ascertain the quality of living commodities in which the
Overseer might make use of or trade, will be granted a lower difficulty level than usually stated by the GM for the
inspection. This increases every other level. This ability also provides you a specialization bonus every other level
directly related to the negotiating trade related to slaves, livestock and hiring warriors into your employ.

Inquisitive Questioning:
At Fourth level, by "The Word" of the Overseer, you can break through the lies of those who would deceive you to
arrive at the truth hidden within the darkness of their frightful minds.

Will Shattering Stare:
By Fourth Level the dread gaze of a well trained Overseer can shatter the confidence of the most arrogant soldier.
In any combat in which you are focused on a single target and not two or more, you may employ this ability. You
must have actual eye contact and a shaded alien visor or veil will prevent effective use of this ability. This can be
employed as a free action (if you have one available) and requires a Tough (15+) influence check. If successful,
the target may attempt a Will check to resist you, using any bonus for mind control. Resistance to Psionics will
help but only at half the usual rating, rounded down. Target's also receive a penalty of one per three full levels
of the Overseer. The affected target will suffer -2 to melee attacks, parry and dodge for every three full levels of
your Overseer. In addition, every melee you are still engaged in combat with them, the penalty listed applies to
any use of skill or abilities by your opponent and they suffer a -1 to initiative for every three levels of your
Overseer. If they are reduced to half or less hit points, they will attempt to retreat. Failing a moral check they
will panic and try to run instead of a safer retreat method.

Mangler of Mockery:
At level five the Overlord has developed the ability known as the "Mangler of Mockery". By manifestation of the
"Berating Backhand" the overseer can deflect insults and mockery of those who would defy his/her dominance. In
most cases this is a Tough Difficulty Skill roll (15+) on an influence skill check. This causes those speaking to
the Overseer to suffer headaches and confusion when attempting to insult/mock them. Those that are within 15 feet,
with a plus ten per three full levels of the Overseer, may attempt a Will save to avoid, with the full benefits
of mind control bonuses but only half of psychic defense bonuses (rounding down) against your ability. In the case
of the Jester ability of "Withering Insult" a full contest of skill rolls should be contested, with only the one
who fails making a saving throw.

Gaze of Gravity:
At Sixth Level the Overlord can inflict the "Gaze of Gravity" upon a foe, forcing to their knees in submission.
The target must be within eye contact of the Overseer and no further than ten feet, plus another ten feet per
three full levels of the overseer. The target must also be of less levels/HD as that of the Overseer and have eyes
that perceive in the same nature as his/hers. A Gaunt Man for example can see without eyes and would be immune to
this ability, as would any other creature that perceives in a similar method as the Gaunt Men or in other ways
than the Overseer. Please note that if the Overseer in question IS a Guant Man/Woman, then this ability ONLY works
on other Gaunt Men/Women or other creatures that perceive the world in the same way that they do. Such targets
also receive a negative one to their saving throw for every three full levels of the Overseer. This ability
requires a Tough Difficulty (15+) skill check with an Influence skill roll. Those that are targeted may attempt a
Will save to avoid, gaining the full benefits of mind control bonuses but only half of psychic defense bonuses
(rounding down) against your ability.

Cadences of Confidence:
By Sixth level the Overlord may infuse "The Word" into inspirational Cadences that will motivate those he/she
leads. For every three full levels of the Overlord, this ability will inspire allies and minions to be provided
with the following benefits:
+1 to Will checks & SAN checks.
For every five full levels of the Overlord, this ability will inspire the following benefits:
+1 to Initiative, Parry, Dodge, & To Hit (Melee & Ranged) checks.
This ability requires a Tough difficulty skill check that will inspire those within ten feet of the Overlord,
with a further ten feet per three full levels of the Overlord.

Cruel Hand of Fate:
By Seventh level the Overseer can not only bonds his/her words to the psychic winds, but may deliver a smiteful
strike that is followed by the fury of his/her will as a devestating reminders to their victim of his/her mastery
of their destiny. Target's so struck by the Crule Hand of Fate must make a Will save, with a penalty of one for
every three full levels of the Overseer, or be stunned into submission for 1D4 melees, plus one for every three
full levels of the overseer. For every size rank of the target above that of the Overseer, the target will
receive a +5 to their saving throw. Targets so effected will fall to their knees or curl into a ball. For
the duration of the effect they will fail any Will saves or SAN checks inflicted upon them.

Indoctrination of the Chattel:
Starting at Seventh Level, as the Overseer grows in his/her mastery of "The Word", they learn to perform influential

Frightful Fury:
By Eighth Level your manifestation of your rage taken flight upon the wings of the psychic wings, you can create a
chaotic wave of disruption upon all within radius of you who will find their combat skills diminished for a melee
round, plus one more for every three full levels of you Overseer with a successful contest of a Challenging
difficulty (20+) skill roll on your influence skill roll. Those within range may attempt a Will save to avoid,
gaining the full benefits of mind control bonuses but only half of psychic defense bonuses (rounding down) against
your ability. However they also receive a penalty of one to their saving throws for every three full levels of the
Overlord. Those so effected will find themselves at a penalty of one to their parry, dodge, and to hit rolls
(both ranged and melee), with an additional penalty of one per three full levels of the Overseer. Please note
that this ability only affects targets of less levels/HD than the Overlord. Only one manifestation of this power
can be in effect at the time, defaulting to the highest level one.

Imposing Authority:
Starting at Ninth Level the Overlord can attempt to inflict his/her dominance upon a victim, imprinting dominance
over the victim. The target gets a Will save to avoid, gaining the full benefits of mind control bonuses but
only half of psychic defense bonuses (rounding down) against your ability. However they also receive a penalty
of one to their saving throws for every three full levels of the Overlord. Those so effected will find
themselves at a penalty of one to their parry, dodge, and to hit rolls (both ranged and melee), with an further
penalty of one per three full levels of the Overseer. This ability also requires a Formidable Difficulty skill
check (25+) to imprint dominance on the target. However if the target has already been afflicted by an ability
that has diminished his/her ability to perform a Will check to defend themselves against this attack, the
skill roll required becomes a Challenging Difficulty roll (20+) instead. Those so dominated will effectively have
developed the Insanity: Subservient to [Insert Overlords Name] at a rating of 19. This can be resisted and bought
off in the same way as any other insanity. There is however no SAN loss when receiving this insanity. The time it
takes to inflict "Imposing Authority" Upon a target is three hours of "mind washing" per day equal to the target's
level/HD, minue one for every three full levels of the Overlord. Double this time if the target is not a playable
humanoid type. Certain types the GM may disallow being afflicted by this power.

Do You Know Who I Am? You Will:
At Tenth level by declaring yourself and your titles, you may inflict dominance and fear upon those within the
radius of this effect. "The Word" ressonates your will and your name shall be dictate the new order upon those
whom you speak. This is a Challenging Difficulty roll (20+) to perform, but those who fail their Will saves. Those
that are within 30 feet, with a plus ten per three full levels of the Overseer, may attempt a Will save to avoid,
with the full benefits of mind control bonuses but only half of psychic defense bonuses (rounding down) against
your ability. Those who submit to your "Name and Titles" will be at one difficulty level higher to resist further
saves against your abilities for one hour, plus an additional per three full levels of your Overlord. Further
if your character possesses any psychic abilities or other mind control powers, those afflicted by declaration
of your Name and Titles by this power will also suffer a one level higher difficulty in defense of such powers
if the save is of a Will nature.

Manifestation of Misery:
By level Ten, the Overseer can inflict misery upon all within his/her thrall. This is an upgrade of "Imposing Authority". By your will alone
all within your dominance who have been brainwashed by "Imposing Authority" will be driven to horrible suffering which will translate
into a minus one to initiative and minus two from all skills and combat rolls per three full levels of the Overseer. Those afflicted must
also make Will saves at minus two per three full levels of the Overseer or be driven to their knees in agony and effectively stunned for
one melee per three full levels of the Overseer.

Slap You Senseless:
By Eleventh level, the "Cruel Hand of Fate" has upgraded to "Slap You Senseless", allowing those who fail their
saves to also temporarily lose one point of WIS and INT for every three full levels of the Overseer, recovered at
the rate of one each per day. In addition those who fail will not be able to make any further WILL saves for one
hour per three full levels of the Overseer. During those hours, the target is also at a penalty of one for every
three full levels of the Overseer to any combat or skills.

Pandemic Purge:
By Twelth level, your "Frightful Fury" has upgraded to "Pandemic Purge". In addition to the effects of "Frightful
Fury", the targets will feel the need to flee the area for one melee round per three full levels of the Overlord
and develop the Insanity "Fear to confront [Insert name of Overlord]" at the level of 2D6 + one per three full
levels of your overlord. Please note that like "Frightful Fury" this upgraded power only affects targets of less
levels/HD than the Overlord. Only one manifestation of this power can be in effect at the time, defaulting to the
highest level one.

Removal of Wakefulness:
At Twelth level the Overlord has mastered "The Word" to command those before him/her to "Sleep, now" and those who
fail their Will saves will collapse into slumber for 1D4 melee rounds, plus one for every three levels of the
Overlord. Those effected must be within a 30 feet, with an additional ten feet per three full levels of the
Overlord, in a cone effect that ends as wide as the distance. This is a Challenging Difficulty roll (20+) to
perform, but those who fail their Will saves. Those that are within 30 feet, with a plus ten per three full levels
of the Overseer, may attempt a Will save to avoid, with the full benefits of mind control bonuses but only half of
psychic defense bonuses (rounding down) against your ability. Those who submit to your "Name and Titles" will be
at one difficulty level higher to resist further saves against your abilities for one hour, plus an additional per
three full levels of your Overlord.

Conquered Consciousness:
At Thirteenth Level, any target that has successfully had "Imposed Authority" inflicted upon it, may be targeted
by "Conquered Consciousness". The target makes a Will check with a penalty of one for every three full levels of
the Overlord. If failed, they can be brainwashed to beleive themselves completely loyal to the Overlord. They will
no longer share any allegiences or guilt over betraying former companions, even lovers.
