Casting Time: 1 melee actions if Sorcerer is less than 3rd level. Nearly instant if Sorcerer is 5th level or higher.

Casting Delay: Once per hour, minus 10 minutes per three full levels of the caster.

Arcane Difficulty Rating: 15+

Range: 5 feet per level of the caster, must be within line of sight.

Area of Effect: One target, plus one more for every three full levels of the caster.

Duration: 1D4 actions plus one per level of the caster.

Saving Throw: Will each action until successful save or spell duration ends.

Components: verbal & gesture

Optional Foci: Crystal of Kith will subtract 5 from the difficulty of casting the spell.

Optional Component: Eye of someone/thing of same race as the target will lower difficulty by five points and make critical fumbles a standard failure.

Description:

This spell makes targets think their weapons or other item held are burning hot, broken, turned to snake, etc... illusion. This only affects creatures who can be effected by mind powers/illusions. Undead, non-rogue robots, constructs, etc.. are not affected.

Critical Success: Double duration and target has -2 penalty to Will saves each round for the duration.

Critical Fumble: Sorcerer is affected, suffering a -2 penalty to Will saves to resist the power for the duration.
