Match Report v Royal Oak

Playing our nemesis team in the last game of the first half season

And it didn't start off too well.

Captain Power lost to a controlled frame from my Ex Nemesis Phil T.

Then we got a brief view of what next weeks singles KO draw is at the Bear. When Mark H played our Blaster. Some strange misses in the frame but Mark H stumbled over the finish line. Not looking good. 2-0 down.

2 Pauls next. Clements v the Wobbler. A couple of good chances for both players. Clements finished it with a good long rail shot. 3:0 ouch. Not looking good.

Matching names continued as Johns played each other. JC v the Rat. It looked like 4:0 but a few bad mistakes let the Rat have a half chance. That's all he needed .. Woohoo a point on the board. 3:1

Moppy pitted himself v Capt and current top singles league winner JK from Oak. Mop saw a chance to clear and took it. 3:2

Could OSW make it 3:3 playing picked again played JC. I'm afraid not. 4:2 down and not looking good again.

Doubles oh great ;( With Oak being top in Double league. Double :( :(

Our Rat/OSW played well with OSW taking a good finish to take 1st.

Mop and CP also took the 2nd with CP taking the glory when a snooker got him 2 shots.

Decider time. Blaster then took the accolades when he got a chance and took it well,

Result: 5:4 win looked unlikely at 3:0 down and our first win for many a season in Tuesday league v Oak... But we played well and didnt make too many mistakes. So probably a justified score. Doesnt help us much though in mid league postion. Perhaps it could kick us on to better things in the 2nd half of the season. Who knows.
