Match Report V Halfway house

Post date: Dec 8, 2010 12:48:44 PM

Going to be a short report! As a babysitting problem caused reporter Mop to get there at 10pm. Missing all the singles :(

Luckily he wasn't missed as Captain Power AKA Captain Thursday, stepped up to fill Captain Tuesday 'Moppy's' place.. This was after Captain Tuesday Moppy had replaced Captain Power Thursday last Thursday. Glad that is cleared up..

Erith Snooker Master8ers were 4-2 up when Moppy finally graced everyone with his presence. (not presents)

Rocket kept up his winning ways and probably leading the league on individuals board with a played 8 won 7 record.

Captain Power also kept hold of his 100% win with played 6 and won 6 record. An excellent start to the campaign for those 2

OSW and Wobbly won for the other 2 singles.

With the above singles records a Captiain Power/Rocket doubles combination would be strong. And this proved the case with a good win.

John/OSW are hitting a rough patch. The 27 year itch i think. The nontalking doubles pair lost, both blaming the other one for losing.. Not in words just in glares :)

And Mop/Wobbly finished the night with a win. Mark had an excellent break and the dish looked on for Halfway. But he lost the white to a pocket on his third shot. This left Moppy with a nice table to clear up with on his first visit of the night. Xmas had come early!

Result: 6:3 win will do us well with this underperforming Halfway team. They showed their class by beating Royal Oak a few weeks back. The result should put us in equal second, with some good winnable fixtures to come. Could we be top at the half season?

Predicted table:

ROYAL OAK A 8 50 22 7 1 14 64

ERITH SNOOKER D 8 46 26 7 1 14 60

VILLAGE INN VETS 8 46 26 7 1 14 60

YACHT 8 48 17 6 2 12 60
