Match report v Halfway a

Post date: Mar 6, 2013 3:10:57 PM

Big match time.. Erith United v Real Halfway

League table has them poised pretty close separated by 6 ponts in no mans land behind top 2

It was halfway that started brightly. Mark played a good game to beat Pinkie. First loss for pinkie since his reintroduction.

1-0 own goal. Ramos (og) 48. Oops too big matches going on at same time.

then quickly bam bam. Andy and Steve H take victims of Wobbler and Mop. Both Master8ers making too many mistakes and Halfway players capitalising on them well.

Red Card for Pinkie, oops i mean Nani who was sent of for reckless challenge. Could that be a game changer?

It might well be.. Blaster storms out atmosphere like a rocket. Within a couple of visits its all over in a Blaster potting festival.

3-1

Rat v S Redout up next in the noisest game of the the night. Rat had the first chance. The Sandwiches/Cues/Coughs tried to put him off :) But he did miss a couple of chances and Redout finished his first one with a good take.

We needed a bit of luck now! And it didnt happen. Bert had control of a lower pocket early game. A good snooker by OSW looks like he might get a free ball. Snooker does draw the foul but even clipping OSW's ball the white ball still goes on to clip a long colour over another pocket! OSW fails to clear both pockets with his 1 free ball and Bert controls the game to it's inevitable finish ...

Bang bang 2 goals in 5 minutes and Man U are out! And so are Erith Master'ers from winning this fixture. 1-5 down

Doubles. Sherwood looked a bit rusty and failed to snooker leaving Andy to slam another black in. But we edged the last 2 doubles to gain some points on the board

Result: 6-3 loss. Halfway were good for it as they finished some frames very well. Looks like 4th for us unless we play very very well or very bad from now on. We need to win on Team KO next week to keep some interest for season end.
