Match Report v Oak B (away)

New season is here....

The band is back together as the Blues Brothers would say.

Blaster and Mop back in after their succesful loans to Glenmore and Falconwood, with Frank Smith Premier and Div1 champion medals in their pockets..

So Erith D are back to full strength again

Up first Captain Pinkie v Adam from Oak B.. A couple of loose shots by Pinkie let Adam gain advantage and go for game. But Adam missed a decent black chance to the middle and Pinkie stole in a won the first point of the season.

Blaster back from succes from Frank Smith and eager to show his form. Run into 'Ball Run Dave' from Oak. And ball-run he did get with a few lucky snookers which was Blasters downful. 1-1

Mop up v Steve Clarke a repeat of Foster KO draw a few months earlier at Oak. Mop came away with the vistory but both players missed glorious chances...

Sherwood came out firing and looked to be on the break dish v Davey. A long red down the cushion failed to drop stopping him from taking frame in one visit. A few snookers later Sherwood was on the ropes but Davey didn't finish leaving half chance for sherwood which he took.

3-1

Last 2 frames were very similiar Rat and Glen played potters Mike and Steve. the Oak boys both started quickly but failed to dish. A few snookers later and Erith D boys dished up. Although Steve had a cut to win which he had to play at slowpace. It did roll out and caused him to miss the ball completely. Some strange rolls were spotted during the night..

5-1 a good start to Singles

Mop/Pinkie v Davey/Mike - Pinkie was off colour on this frame, he was more a brownie colour.. Allowing a simple finsh for Mike to clear well.

5-2

Rat/Blaster also failed v Brummie Steve/Adam combo.

5-3

But a late flurry by Glen/Sherwood let us get up to 6 points

Result: 6-3 away win v a good Oak side is a great start to the seaons. MOM goes to Sherwood who seems to have found his pool Mojo, he was on fire with his potting and position. Bodes well getting full squad and some out of sort players from last season playing well again.
