Match report v Crayford Social (away)

Post date: Apr 2, 2018 9:31:10 PM

Big match time. we had slipped 3 points behind crayford over the past few week. We needed to stop the rot to have a chance at league title.

PUF (See previous match reports for acronym ) :)

He was playing new player Grimsby. Mop had warned Pinkie tactical was going to route taken. Righty so as Grimbsy went for pocket cover at every opp.

But Pinkie has played this game for many a year and knows the tricks. A great positional shot by Pinkie left Grimsby with no shot and pinkies ball were open.. (pool term)

Pinkie had 1st golden chance, he had taken many of these this season. But a position to last colour by white found the pocket. Game over simple dish by Grimsby.

Sherwood played George. Both attacking players I would of said over in about 2 visits but this went on for a while.. George taking win but both had a lot of chances.

Blaster took on Gibbo basically same as last frame. Both had chances both missed a lot and another win to Crayford.. :( 0-3 this wasn't good.

It got worse though. Mop played Scot, Scot won the toss and broke/potted and left a nice table for reds. The break got raged at end with low percentage shots coming off and middle pocket knuckle saving white and getting at least a shot at black. A good black double at end made the break dish.. Oh well. Not our night. 0-4

Rat tactical match v Steve King. We didnt have the winning shot and 0-5 oh dear..

OSw to the rescue with a good win that was videod by Crayford.. Perhaps they should of vdieo'ed the others!

We took the 2 of 3 doubles to at least make the score respectable.

Result: 3-6 loss. Oh dear. Can't see us gaining 10 points on Crayford in 3 games.
