Match Report Team Semi KO v Yacht

Post date: Apr 22, 2009 12:08:53 PM

It was billed as the battle of the ships. The Great Harry v the Yacht...

Team Semi, and who ever won would play the Railway club (A or B)

Pinkie up first and he had first chance but a deflected white lost postion on last red and he was fighting the tide from there and lost. Although Gary had a bit of luck snookering pinkie on a missed Yellow.

Mop up second and his opponent had a good break but missed his last ball. One snooker gave Mop 2 shots and an easy chance to reach his home port which he took.

1-1

Rocket up next and chances for both sides. Rocket had 2 shots on an open black and mangaed to throw it away big style. Can pool players be made to walk the plank?

1-2

John played the most negative player ever to grace a pool table. His opponent could of gone for a game about 20 mins before he did. He finally did leaving John adrift in the sea

1-3

Glen up next and polished the balls off like the averages said he would. Ahoy my mates...

2-3

Wobbly up next, a tight game. Wobbly had been given 2 shots, and he picked up the white then relised with a 'DOH' moment that he should of played the white where it was! But otherwise an unlucky long pot that went in off lost wobbly the game and his ships rations.

2-4

Harry needed all the doubles otherwsie it was mayday time or up sh*t creek without a paddle

Mop/Pinkie up first playing their semi final opponents for next week. Mop/Pinkie had the upper hand early on and both had half chances to finish. Neither took it and it took a foul from their opponents to allow mop to sink his second black of the night.

3-4

Could John/Rocket make up for their earlier losses? Quck answer was no. John had a good half chance but failed to take it. Leaving the yatch to sail into the final v the Railway A team at the end of the may

Final score 5-3. Only Mop and Pinkie really turned up to play on the night so team didn't deserve to get through. Need more consistentancy for the summer league.
