Match report v Rileys woolwich away

Post date: Feb 10, 2012 11:48:33 AM

With ice on the gorund, snow in the air and a bitterly cold Siberian wind we were happy to get indoors into the warmth of Rileys Woolwich.

We could unwind and relax in their plush warm surroundings, enjoy some nice beer, excellent food and partake in a few frames of pool on the superbly maintained tables.

The pool standard was excellent with Captain Power gracefully flowing round the table. His cocked hat shot with side to set up the frame win was only surpassed by his 2 break & dishes in his other frames.

Marster Blaster fired balls in at power from every angle. OSW played left handed to allow his opponents a chance in the frame, but still polished off his frames with ease.

Mop was a tatical mastermind. In one frame he enginered all 15 balls to cover one pocket and in the other 2 he forced his opponents to DF and pot the black to finish it for Mop wins.

New boy John Walters took his first wins and beat the number 1 ranked SLKPA player to note his arrival on the SLKPA scene.

If Carling did pool nights...

Result: a 11:4 loss in a cold and deprewssing winter night :)
