Match report v Railway B (Home)

A new team to play. I don't think we had ever crossed paths in comps before so was good to play someone new.

Good news: We also got to see are weekly pool mates Halfway A team. (3rd week running) as they were playing on the other table v Erith B. I'm sure the report of that game will be found here .

Turn away now if you don't want to see the score... it was 5:4 to Halfway ;)

Back to game in hand. Captain Pinkie up first and to be honest I cant remember much of this game v Dan Mason. Watching paint dry pops into my mind while writing this. Looking on score sheet there is a W by Kev H so Pinkie must of won..

Wobbler up next v Dan R. Wobbler slowly worked his balls into easier and easier position then went for the kill like a scorpion.. Bang 2:0 up

Mop up v Mel (Not from Spice girls fame). Close fought battle but mop cleared his last 2 colours and black down rail for win.

Enter player with his own theme tune... Sherwood. who made up for his loss last week with a good game win.

'The Rat' next and it looked all over for him v Steve R from Railway. Given 2 shots away and the guy just needed to use his free ball to clear Rat ball from pocket to set-up pretty easy clearance. But no he didn't use free ball. Rat managed to escape the next snooker and eventually got the black down for a win 5:0

Mop was setting up his 'Only the Lonely' tune on his mobile for OSW in last singles. Comparing OSW current run of form on the pool table to Torres form for Chelsea would not be an understatement. But a dry break from Railways john and what was this.. OSW cleared on his first visit! And took out with ease.. Is he back?? Who knows. Torres scored too last night for Chelsea... Could they be linked in some way...

Whitewash done in singles. Doubles ended with 1 to Railway after Ray potted the best pot of the night on the black. Full length pot with white tight on the top cushion. Erith D then mopped up last 2 frames.

Result: 8:1. Best win for some time and we did play well. Was a bit harsh on Railway as most of the frames could of gone either way. But a good 10 point to boost our league point tally early in the season.
