Match report v Dukes Head

Post date: Oct 27, 2010 2:31:02 PM

Off to the smallest room/table in the league for the master8'ers. And one of the quickest tables. A good test for the cue ball control

Captain Kev off first and looked to have lost. No balls down and Nigel looked like he might clear, but surpsingly didn't which let Kev back in. And when you do that he normally makes you pay. And nigel paid with a flawless win for Captain Kev. He keeps his 100% singles win going .

Up next was Rocket. And he launched into another win, with some solid pots. 5 wins out of 5 also on 100%.

Mop made it 3-0 with a solid game.

Wobbly confidience is stil a bit shacken and our first loss was put on the board. 3-1.

John R won a close game, and Glen missed a glorious chance to win his. 4-2 up after singles.

A change of pairings. John/Mop went up first. When Mop got 2 shots from an inn-off, he picked off the remaining colours and black to seal the win. 5-2

Captain Kev, Rocket went all out attack, but Rocket lost the cue ball to a pocket on thier last colour. That was curtains for them

And Glen/Wobbly looked to be cruising missed their chance, but were offered a second which they took

Result: 6:3 another good away win at a tough venue. So back on track, just need to keep racking up the points to keep on the chase of the leaders the Royal Oak
