Match report v Red Barn (away)

Post date: Mar 11, 2009 9:52:47 AM

We finally got to play the Red barn this season! Last game was re arranged to end of the season. Now just 3 weeks time!

Just Pinkie missing this week due to home commitments meant just the 6 dogs out tonight.

Wobbly up first and played the impressive Danny from the Barn. Wobbly was tactically ahead, but with a sniff of a chance Danny pulled off a very good clearence to take the first win. This spurred on the Harry dogs as they went on a fine run, winning all the rest of the singles.

Postie tried his best to throw his singles game. 'Sunset' had 2 on the black but she only managed to set it up for Keith to take the win.

I also need to point out that Glen's win made it 10 wins out of the last 10 games! Very impressive form that could take him to the Mark Bell & Karen Miles Memorial Trophy at the end of the season.

John/Mop took the first doubles as well to make it 6-1 and it looked like we could post a good high scoring away win.

Danny for Red Barn was not going to let the Dogs have it all their own way. He came out firing (or potting i should say) and potted all 7 yellows on his first visit, but failed on the black. His next visit he escaped out of a snooked and doubled the black to take the win for the Barn.

Last game was Wobbly/Glen v Sunset & Tristan. I think Glen's singles form had exhausted him, as he played awfull in the doubles and threw the game away.

Result: A good 6-3 away win to keep the charge up the table going. But probably too late.

Shot of the Day: Sunset produced some good long pots for the Red Barn
