Article 183 - The Singularity Constraint

The Singularity Constraint

This essay proposes a description for the total nature of Architecture within our Universe.

Definitions

Singularity.

‘a point at which a function takes an infinite value, especially in space–time when matter is infinitely dense, such as at the centre of a black hole.’

Proposal

If everything in our universe originates from a singularity then the singularity must have contained all of the possible forms of anything that can be created.

This makes humans and all of their ideas; Architecture; a product of the singularity.

It also means humans cannot create anything new.

They can only re-assemble the past.

Since the singularity is expanding then humans can only sense anything it in through delay due to the speed of light in a vacuum.

Since they can only sense by fundamental interaction of energy density humans sense the expanded singularity as a hologram of past events.

Conclusion

The fundamental nature of Architecture; idea; within our Universe is that it will only occur from the sensing, discovery, naming, recycling and re-assembly of the original components of the singularity.

It will never be anything unique; another singularity.

Its physical products will be forever separate from humans; due to the Pauli Exclusion Principle.

As pure interaction, Architecture; idea; it will only ever be a re-assembling of holograms of past events.
