The incentive systems of Humanity
These are the incentives systems in our society. They are influenced by the arts of broadcasting, advertising, literature, music, art, sculpture and architecture. The system is motivated by the desire to circulate another, multi-exchange trade item, Money. This carries the emblems of the society and so establishes the hierarchy controlling the incentive system and the individuals position and role in the society.
The incentive system creates fulfils needs, then values, then quality, then appreciations of beauty, then culture and finally creates a society.
Mass Manufacturing is the method by which each society moves itself forward. It is also, as we are learning again in our own century, the way in which a society causes its own demise by depleting energy, resources and the environment.
1900
Through the influences of the arts each individual is encouraged to manufacture products then take leisure time from work to spend their wages to consume products that they manufacture and thus perceive a need to manufacture products again.
1920
Through the influences of the arts each individual is encouraged to manufacture products then take leisure time from work to spend credit to consume products that they manufacture and thus perceive a need to manufacture many more products again.
1950
Through the influences of the arts each individual is encouraged to manufacture products then take leisure time from work to spend unlimited credit to consume products that they manufacture and thus perceive a need to manufacture products again.
2013
Through the depletion of energy, resources and environment each individual is encouraged to manufacture less products then take increased leisure time from work to consume less products that they manufacture and thus perceive a need to manufacture less products again.
2020
Through the depletion of energy, resources and environment each individual is encouraged to hunt and gather to consume products that they obtain and thus perceive a need to hunt and gather products again.
2050
Through the complete depletion of energy, resources and environment each individual is encouraged to survive to consume products that they obtain and thus perceive a need to survive.
