Course Overview and Materials
Taking science further! In this course, you’ll investigate topics such as circulation and genetics, acid-base chemistry, organic chemistry, electromagnetic radiation, and energy resources. This course is an academic science course that covers biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
There is a supervised midterm and final exam in this course as well as a diploma exam. Both the course mark and diploma exam mark are required for a final mark to appear on your transcript.
Due to the short time frame of summer session, expect to be working on the course 5 to 7 hours each day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time Jobs should not be taken during this time. You will be completing one Unit per week during this course. There are no exemptions or extensions to the assignment closing deadlines provided at the start of the course.
*Tests are supervised using remote proctoring software called Proctorio. To write a Proctorio supervised test, students must have a computer or laptop with a microphone and a webcam.
In order for a student to be successful in this course, VVS requires a minimum of 65% in at least one of the prerequisite courses.
